Maybe give a bit more information can help both parties, such as: 1. What's your preferred schedule? (time and day) Since you definitely don't want the session to have conflict with your school/work activities. 2. Do you have a car, or public transportation is the only way (which might eliminate quite a few choices)? 3. What's your current skill level? ,etc. Enjoy the staying in this beautiful city.
if you are new to the sport...i dont mind teaching you for free...just come to drop-ins with me and my group... =)
lol 1. the scedule will be fine except Friday,Saturday and Thursday sometimes 2. my only transportation is public transporation 3. duno where is my current level ..... thank you so much!!
hmmm it might be kinda far for you since you wanted someone in northshore....but we play tuesday and thursdays @ bcit...alot of beginners there, so theres no pressure...ummm sundays i play at brittania community center on commerical in vancovuer...hmmm play lots...atleast 5 times a week or so...always welcoemd to join in if you can get to vancovuer without problems =D
I didn't even know that they still have badminton at Britannia Community Services Centre on Sundays. Last I heard, they cancelled the Sunday badminton program because the co-ordinators complained that there were too many badminton programs in the centre and too little program times available for everything else. Unless you guys actually rented the gym or something, then Britannia badminton on Sunday is news to me....
Er... BCIT is way out in Burnaby. Joyce, check out the forum search engine for playing locations in West Van and North Van. Also, find out where your local community centers are and perhaps get a copy of their program guide. For quality badminton coaching, there's not alot of options in the North Shore. You gotta struggle like the rest of us.
Hey Joyce, Pending on your level of play, Collingwood (by Joyce Sky Train Station) has a sesion on Sundays at 10am to 1pm for intermediate (mid B to high B level players, some are A-level players). You may want to drop by sometime to see if this fits your time and level of play. Feather birds play only. Good luck in your training and enjoy the game. Cheers!
I will be there this coming sunday (4/22). Just hope I can still move after the long Sat VRC session.
