Adidas is title sponsor for CHN Masters this year (last time to host one of 12 SS tourneys) to replace Li Ning which sponsored its previous editions. Not many foreign top players taking part here, JPN and KOR bring their elites to challenge host CHN.

The qualification is already started, 09.00am local time. Two WS players who injured badly at last year London OG, Wang Xin v Sayaka Sato will be the headline match today.

Qualifying round has been finished this afternoon, the notable qualifiers are Korean Son Wan Ho who crowned TPE Open two days ago and Wang Xin, silver medalist of 2010 Asian Games. Let's see their performance at main draw that will be kicked off tomorrow ;)

Both stopstream links give me 404 Not Found. Is it only me or everyone else has the same problem?

edit: It is okay from my mobile phone but not okay from office internet.

According to TS, a match I was highly anticipating won't be taking place: WYH vs. Takahashi. Boo! I suppose certain Chinese players have been run really ragged by the scheduling. I notice Cai and Fu have given a walkover, too.

I hope other top Chinese players won't be walking over en masse as well.

Yup, two walkovers already, possibly due to fatigue and not yet well recovered from CHN National Championships.

Good match between Nichaon vs Mitani. Lots of smashes and retrieves from both sides.

The top-seed in XD: Xu Chen/Ma Jin have also withdrew. Xu Chen should be very exhausted after playing 3 matches in the China National Games a couple of days ago. Too bad, he lost in both MD and XD.

Xu Chen's partner in MD then, Cai Yun, is probably still seething at his loss and the subsequent rare outrage at the Jiangsu's coaches for arranging 3 matches for Xu Chen in one day. His outrage was also possibly attributed to the fact that he could not win a coveted Gold Medal in both the Team & Individual events prior to his impending retirement. That, coupled with the disappointing defeat to Ahsan/Hendra last month in front of the home crowd in Guangzhou, triggered his rare emotional breakdown.
