I don't think Malaysia will win any title in All England as the departure of Li Mao plus the delay announcement of continuity contract for coaches are yet to finalize create lots of uncertainty for players and coaches. I don't even know how's the coaching program going for LCW, WCH, ... Furthermore, LCW doesn't have quality sparring sessions compare to China with Bao, Lin Dan, Chen Jin, Chen Yu.
Come to think of it again, I do think Malaysia will win the MD title this year by sending so many good teams, is all about the probability :D

I agree with Morten. Consistency comes with discipline & that's why LD collected 7 titles last yr. LD may not match TH, PG or LCW for that matter in certain departments because there is no perfect player. However, I believe he uses his mental faculty i.e. rely on his strength & exploit the weaknesses of others.
Men's single is so competitive - to win 7 titles in a yr is not an easy feat. When the curtain eventually comes down for LD, I will remember him better than the Chinese player who won the Olympic gold medal some yrs ago - --- Xinpeng (can't remember his name).

Hahaha sure, i know my prediction is not realistic based on Hafiz's record so far but i will support Hafiz anyway :D

LD, LCW, PG, TH, BCL,CJ etc already have a lot of fans, so maybe what Hafiz need now is one die-hard fan to boost his confidence

haha i might refer that as unprofessional....
i mean like if ur really sincere and honest in ur job, wadever happens, u will still try to bring LCW back to where he was or push him further....

apparently its like the Captain abandoning his sinking ship...

I think it is more of a case of Li Mao expressing his own rights - that is if BAM cannot get their act together in time, he is not going to hang around and be seen like he has no other option to go for.

By taking the Korean job, he is actually telling BAM how to act next time --- and that is not to take people for granted and to get their act together early, particularly when you are employing a professional like Li Mao.

My advice to BAM/NSC is not do this again as it is not right. Even if you were going to be late, you must tell the guy what your thoughts are -- i.e. whether it includes re-hiring them. And you must convince the guy to stay. Obviously, this did not happen and Li Mao was not going to hang around to find out and potentially miss out on a possible job with Korea. I am pretty sure Malaysia would have represented a better choice than Korea for him.

In this case, BAM n NSC is directly responsible to his departure.. they must realize that Li Mao is not the type of coach who is unwanted by ppl.. EGO.. thats wad i can say about NSC... not only badminton.. happens to other sports as well...

    Hahahaha :D
it seems that i'm the only supporter for Hafiz now :p

Anyway, realistically if we based on current performance, LD/PG/CJ have a big chance to win the ms title :)

Agreed, one fanatic fan like INDRA will help Hafiz playing better in the coming tournaments ;) :p

That's why TH managed to win most ms title in major tournaments despite being inconsistent :D

My country is good but not necessarily dominant and surely not better than before... :p

Ok, with that out of the way, I predict:

    MS: Taufik Hidayat! :D
    WS: Xie Xinfang
MD: an English Pair [this is a bold prediction  ]
WD: Gao Ling - Huang Sui [this is a low risk prediction  ]
XD: Lili Natsir - Nova Widianto [they are more relaxed, they will do well]

actually i would really love to see hafiz wins cuz its about time he show something back to us as alot of "OUR" money have been invested directly or indirectly.... he can do it just tat he seems to be too inconsistent which is really frustrating for us to see.... but again seeing his performance recently, i think its quite irrelevant to say he'll come out champion...:)

Yeah sure, if based on his performance recently, i agree that it is quite impossible for Hafiz to win AE MS title this year but the same thing goes to LCW, eventhough he managed to be world no. 1 last time, he never win any major title yet and his performance currently also not good enough...Anyway, i am very glad if LCW can win AE this year
