Greetings,

Believe it or not ...
Starting November 2008, AirAsia X will fly direct to Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport (4x weekly) with fares from as low as RM99.

Received from my sister, this link: click here

If going to Malaysia from Melbourne is just as cheap, perhaps CCC Badminton could organise a Friendly Match with a Malaysian Badminton club. It's just a thought. :):):)

Are there any players at CCC interested?

Cheers... chris-ccc

sharon just missing out on the RM99 flight to Malaysia

ME!!! :D As I'm from M'sia!!! It will be a good trip back home!!! Actually I'm going back to M'sia end of Oct for holiday but by MAS though.
.
:D:D:D sharon ... Yes, all my previous trips flying to and fro to Malaysia were MAS flights too.

Sorry that you are just days missing out on the RM99 flight to Malaysia (if it's true).

It's true Chris, in fact AirAisa X had a promotion few weeks ago, giving away 1 million free seats. Melb-KL return inc tax was only A$320!! Should have waited, got my CNY trip back to M'sia for A$400 thru AirAsia X when they had their earlier promotion. Can't complain though, still quite cheap!

ecky88 ... But AirAsia X will only be flying to Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport (4x weekly) starting from November 2008.

Previously, you have to go to Perth or to the Gold Coast to catch their flights, was it not?

Anyway, how was your flight with them? Good/Average/Poor?

Oh, what I meant was CNY 2009. They had a promotion when they started the Melb-KL route, I bought my tickets then. Few days later they had another promotion giving away 1 mil free seats.

Never tried AirAsia X before, but friends have said that their seat is a bit smaller and not as comfortable as the normal regular airlines. But they use the new Airbus A320 I think.

How many passengers can the new Airbus A320 carry?

Oh I see. :):):)

For AirAsia X to give away 1 million free seats is quite unreal. How many passengers can the new Airbus A320 carry, I wonder?
