Thought of sharing some of the info I have about the shuttlecocks while researching as a normal consumer. The images may contain Chinese words. Feel free to ask. I'm sure those who can help to interpret will help. When choosing shuttlecocks, we may look at the type of feathers, temperature, air density, and altitude. As the temperature rises, air density decreases, making the shuttle speed slightly faster than in a colder climate. Altitude can affect flight speed as well. The higher you are above sea level, the lower the air density will be, therefore increasing shuttle speed. Below is a table showing the shuttle speed to altitude. The place where I reside (Singapore) is no higher than 15m above sea level. Type of feathers - Goose - Duck To be updated. I am no expert so I gather more info. That aside for most consumers the biggest factor will be your budget. Updated as of August 2021
Victor There is the Gold, Champion and Master series Master(Blue) - Goose Champion(Green), Gold - Duck Interestingly discovered that the current Master Ace is the only Victor shuttle made from full soft wood cork where as the rest are composite cork.
Li-ning As discussed in another thread Li-ning did some repackaging. (seems to be forever rebranding) A600+ is now G900 A300+ is now G800 They use full soft wood cork. See attached image. The rest of the series are composite cork So the series they have are G - Goose D - Teal Duck C - Cormorant Duck K - a hybrid series. It has duck and goose.
