I m on u guys side now! Pic #1 and 2 are sunset pictures. Pic #3 is a sunrise pic! But it looks like pic #1 and 2 were shot in different season right elwin?
Here comes the story of "Moonrise Hernandez" It was taken at the end of a day when Adams had been taking photographs in the Chama Valley, north of Santa Fe, New Mexico. There had been frustrations earlier in the day when he had tried to capture images that he saw in his minds eye, but due to the precise arrangement of background and other objects, was unable to render a satisfactory rendition on a negative. To all intents and purposes the day's photography was over and it was while driving home southward along the highway near Espanola that Adams happened to glance sideways out of the car window and saw the scene that was to become this photograph. He quickly stopped the car and set up his 8" x 10" view camera, with the aid of his companions he arranged his lens, a suitable filter and was ready to take the exposure when he realized that his exposure meter was nowhere to be seen. Time was running out - at sunset the scene changes rapidly - soon the light in the clouds would start falling off and the highlighted white crosses would soon dim. Experience saved the day as Adams took the value for the brightness of the moon that he knew from previous measurement and experience and applied his "zone" system of exposure to various aspects of the scene that his master touch had perfected. He decided on an exposure of a second with ASA 64 film at f/32. He also made a note of the type of development that he would subject the negative to once it was back safely in his darkroom. Intending to take a duplicate negative as he appreciated the uniqueness of the scene Adams attempted to set up again, but it was too late. Just as he was getting ready with a second negative plate, the sunlight passed from the crosses and the precise lighting effect of the scene was lost.
Answers..........All Sunset Pictures !!!!! Do you believe all of them are sunset pictures ? Picture #1 and #3 were taken in late autumn last year; Picture #2 was taken in late winter last year . Tracy, sometime the street light will lid well before the sunset as the time for sunset keep changing. Remember UK is locate in high latitude. Those houses didn't switch on the light as they are probably still working as sunset can be at 4pm in late autumn. U r very observant . Oggie, the sun is in front of me for all the pictures, I think it is hiding somewhere in picture #3 . Good try chris, all of the pictures were taken from the same spot. Red, I got your picture right.......day time.
Ah, well, at least 2 out of 3 is not bad.. ..yah, i think i realized now all of them were taken from the same view..I noticed in the 3rd pic, you had zoomed out a bit, that's why i didn't noticed closely that roof overhang/eaves and the drain gutter, apparently they're the same house...I guess that tower, on the right, must've been the same as well...Oh well.. Well, at least you've proven *us* all wrong, elwin81(guys, careful next time in following me-hehehe ) That was a good one though, very tough indeed, and like i wrote earlier, only person who'll know for sure is you..hehe

my childhood is there and i still consider HK my home lol i will for sure get new racquets in HK . they're generally cheaper there
A couple here. Used a 50mm/1.8. Not too happy with some of the pics at f2.2. Seems much better when the lens is at f2.5. Post processed in DPP from RAW. 1st pic pushed 1 stop. I had it on evaluative metering. Should have used spot. However, still managed to capture some of the mood. 2nd one exposure kept the same. Converted to JPEG under tungsten conditions.
Anyone up for a Sunday afternoon walk?? I would rather be hiking today! ..i don't really know where to put these pics, but any of you guys know where or what this place is??(if so, mind sharing your experience?) Or for that matter been up(and down) to(from) that place??..That's a pretty demanding trip, to say the least, don't you guys think??..hehe :crying: 1. First - Lets take the tram up to the start of the trail. 2. Now follow the path. 3. Be sure to hold on to the "railing". 4. Keep an eye on the person in front of you. 5. Be very careful when passing someone going in the opposite direction. 6. Now just up a few steps (they are on the left in the picture). 7. Gets a little steeper here - so put your toes in the holes. 8. A few more steps to go. 9. Finally in sight.
