so itll be more of a singles oriented racket? but they just brought out the astrox99..i thought maybe it would be an upgrade of the 88s/d..super interesting either way!
Astrox 100 ZZ Adapted for Attack-all around player. Because athlete's Play style have changed. Yonex had research way to make a new racket for all those player 100zz is the reason thay made it. on All england 2020 will be the first time the wolrd see this racket. Even in cattalog it's just close up picture shown us just a frame and decals
I think it's KM favourite colour (@kurako might help confirm this fact as she is the top expert on KM ) . May be it is his sort of signature racket or he at least had a say regarding the colours in the same way LYD had a say for the colours of the Astrox 88 models.
I will take that as a compliment. Having said that, I have no idea about Momota's favourite colour, except when it comes to his grip, ... which has to be yellow. I don't think he is too concerned, actually. At the All Japan Championships, his racquet was pink-hued, ... and he had no qualms about changing the colour of his shoes. I have no evidence to back this up, but I get the impression that Momota generally toes the line of the Yonex marketing team. His personal touches generally revolve around his hairstyle and accessories. ... and his Yonex necklace is pink. Looking at the definition above, the base colour of the Astrox 100 ZZ is dark navy. Apparently, the racquet has a weight distribution and design, including a hyper-slim shaft, that enables players to smash repeatedly. Has it been made with Axelsen in mind?
It was a compliment I thought I saw that somehwere on the KM thread but I was wrong for his favourite colour then. Makes sense for VA since he is using a Z strike already. It might not be any player's signature model too. I guess we'll just have to wait and see for a few more months.
is it just me, or does that picture seem like it doesn't have that thick oval boxy frame like the other astroxes? It almost looks like a sword frame near the top of the picture, doesn't it? It could be just the lighting and I could be wrong, but if it's a swordish frame that's extremely interesting, I don't recall yonex doing those very often. Yonex's aerodynamic frames are traditionally just thinner ovals without any edge
So the ZZ and ZX are literally the same racket according the specs. Just different technologies but same colours?! Yonex invented to milk the cow. With the AX88's they made very different rackets, but now just different frame technologies? So one is the Big Mac with the other without onions?
Just the weight is lighter than ax99. But more flexible as it's hyper shaft and thinnest ever. Most likely will be compact frame.
