Here is #21. I saw a lot of people(old, young, very young and babies) stalking and taking photos with players, especially Wang Lin. Wonder why no one posted any photos.

Uncle Wong tried his best and put up a determined display against a much younger and faster opponent. Until the last point was won, the match could still have gone either way. Everytime WCH fell down to retrieve a shot, I was worried that those old knees wouldn't be able to recover from the impact on the floor!

Sasaki isn't that much younger, he's 28 or 29 I think, but yeah, on second thoughts probably much younger compared to 34 :p

Sho Sasaki looked so fit and well trained. I saw him took his shirt off, and although I'm not a gay, could not help but stare at his muscle body lol. He must have trained the way samurai or Karate black belt did, I would not dare mess around with this monk head bloke. BTW did you guys notice he does not get along with his team mates?? Also i did not see him smile even once. And all of his Japan team mates left the court even before his match was finished.

Can somebody provide more information on this?
The Japanese players seem to have a few different groups, like based on the names of the sponsors on their shirts.
    Tonami, Panasonic, Unisys etc.
So does this mean that they are independent players from those companies rather than say the Japan national federation? Or is the Japan badminton national federation being sponsored by so many different companies?

Yes they seem to form 3 different group. Even when they match each other, each of them had a coach on the side line. Ussually when both players coming from the same camp they wont have any coach during the match.

yes, it did seem this way, with only the top national team players seem to be coached by Masuda. the rest were under club coaches.
