Again, anothr 2 matches to be played today.

    MS SF
Brice Leverdez [1] vs Andre Kurniawan Tedjono [3] - Andre needs to be careful not to fall into the same footstep as Adit. I think Andre can win the title!

    WS SF
    Fransiska Ratnasari
[4] vs Susan Egelstaff [2] - ditto for Nana. Petya will be her biggest challenge for her first title this year!

    MD SF
Viki Indra Okvana/Ardiansyah Putra vs Marcus Ellis/Peter Mills [2]

    XD SF
Viki Indra Okvana/Gustiana Sari Megawati vs Stiliyan Makarski/Diana Dimova [2]

Brian Leverdez has played 3 matches in this tournament... all ended in rubber sets and lasted 53-54-55 minutes... Not the 'quick kill' kinda guy eh?!? :p

His French compatriot Matthieu Lo is an explosive attacking player. I saw him a couple of times in Europe, but his stamina/endurance was quite terrible back then.... :p In this tournament Matthieu played around 27-28 minutes every time... :) If he meets Andre in the finals, he might be tested to the limit of his capacity. Andre is one of the fittest person in badminton.

Fransiska Ratnasari [4] progresses to the Final as expected, after a straight-set 21-14, 21-14 victory over Susan Egelstaff. The top-seed Petya Nedeltcheva should await her for an explosive Final! Can Nana win her first title in Europe?

Meanwhile, Andre Kurniawan Tedjono [3] also seals a Final spot as he looks forward to win his first title since late 2008, after a 3-sets 12-21, 21-12, 21-6 victory over Brice Leverdez. Brice must be very exhausted as he can only win 6 pts in the rubber-set.

MS final, Andre K.Tedjono will take on another France shuttler Matthieu Lo Ying Ping meanwhile Nana as expected will meet Petya Nedelcheva in finale.

    MS FINAL
    Andre Kurniawan Tedjono
[3] vs Matthieu Lo Ying Ping [5] -- Andre should win his first title of 2009.

    WS FINAL
    Petya Nedeltcheva
[1] vs Fransiska Ratnasari [4] -- a 50-50 match....I hope Nana can give her 100% to win her first European title. Petya has a slight edge.

    MD FINAL
Andre Ellis/Dean George [5] vs Viki Indra Okvana/Ardiansyah Putra -- another English pair to contend with for Viki/Ardiansyah....let's see if they can win a title in Austria!

Yes, this Austrian title should go to Andre... ;) Matthieu might steal 1 game when he is fresh, but if it ever goes to a marathon 3rd game, better put your money on Andre... :)

Petya has a 51-49 edge over Nana. Let's see how Nana has improved over this one year... ;)

Does anyone know where Viki-Ardiansyah is based now?!? Somewhere in Europe?

She is leading by 17-13 now.
I am quite impressed with recent Nana's improvement. She deserved to be 4th INA WS to replace April

Nana takes the first set 21-15 in 18 mins. Let's see if she can maintain her momentum in the second set.

Nana has indeed proven that she still can perform in badminton since moving to PB Djarum in the beginning of last year. Djarum's faith in her was also repaid in terms of 2 titles last year: the Astec Indonesia International Challenge & Yonex-Sunrise Vietnam Open GP.

She only lost marginally (in 3-sets) to Djarum's team-mate Maria Febe Kusumastuti in the Kejurnas last mth.

I hope that she can start this year with another International Challenge title!

This is the information I got from Suryanaga's website for Viki and Mega, not sure about Ardiansyah though:
Even recently they are trusted to join one of Europe badminton club named BK Deltacar 1973 Benatky Nad Jizerou, Czech Republic until 2010.

Petya leads 11-8 at the interval of the second-set. Nana was once trailing 1-7 and then 3-9 before she cut the lead to just 3 pts.

Petya is raining smashes on Nana  But the scores are still tied at 17-17. Crucial moments for both players.
