Yes, Taufik is not attending the Singapore Open since Lin Ning is the official tournament equipment sponsor. A Big dispute with SBA with Yonex.

that's the problems with those europeans, always too sick or injury to play for their own countries, when no price money around. when the $$ shown up for the SS series, first question is when is the next plane?

Too bad. Politic sucks. The audience loose in this case. Just because of some annoying logos. ;)

What BWF doing about this? I hope they can make up their mind or they should be booted out. ;) What is BWF there for? Anyone can host games. Their role is to make sure the best comes to play and entertain the badminton fans. ;) I hope the BWF president or his associates reads this. ;)

If LD does not come to Singapore....it corroborates my "theory" that LD is afraid of playing in countries of tropical countries (SIngapore, Malaysia, Ina) - especially Southeast Asia.

Lol Lin Dan's probably afraid of losing to LCW haha. I think Chong wei lost against him in sudirman cup because he wasnt attacking and was playing too much of LD's game.

No Lin Dan and Chong Wei title showdown in Lion City

KUANTAN: Badminton fans can forget about another title showdown between world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei and China’s Lin Dan in the men’s singles event at the Singapore Open from June 9-14.

Lin Dan, who is selective of his tournaments, has chosen to skip the Super Series event.

Just two weeks ago, Lin Dan showed that he was still better than Chong Wei by beating the Malaysian in the semi-final tie of the Sudirman Cup in Guangzhou.

Indonesia’s Taufik Hidayat is also missing from the cast for the Singapore Open based on the qualifiers’ list released by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

In the absence of these two players, Chong Wei will have to fend off challenges of a select few – Peter Gade-Christensen of Denmark; China’s Chen Jin and Bao Chunlai; Indonesia’s Sony Dwi Kuncoro and Simon Santoso; and South Korea Park Sung-hwan – as he seeks to defend the title.

The other events have attracted the world’s best players.

So, are we going to see Li Ning booths instead of Yonex ones this year?

But I won't dare to buy Li Ning shirts, after looking at the Chinese players' accumulated sweat in Guangzhou.
