Hi all, I recently switched over from nike air shoes to yonex. 3 weeks after i purchased the shoes, the upper part started tearing off into pieces. The dealer i bought it from agreed that it was a manufacturing defect but refused to give me a replacement. This does not show yonex in good faith at all. In fact all my friends with whom I play at the club are having second thoughts about buying anything from yonex. Does anyone know how I could possibly get a replacement I am based at Bangalore, India Regards Ashwin
Try.. Ashwin, give Mizuno a try. They are very durable in my opinion. Mine are still holding up after one year. Yes, the left inner sole is wearing off due to my dragging of my left foot, the soles are half worn but still extremely grippy. Yonex is all about looks but Mizuno is more like a Toyota, reliable, durable and bland.
it depends on what model you buy actually... the shb series are ok... i have mine for almost a yr now and it's still going as if it can withstand another year! but if you got yourself a AR series, which is cheaper, it is expected...
I agree with what |r|s said abt SHB and AR shoes. If your shoe model is starts with AR, it's is the "lousier" Yonex shoes grade. SHB shoes are good and of course if you can get your hands on the Japan SHB versions, it will be even better. |r|s is curently wearing the SHB92 EX. I'm also wearing that at the moment. It's very durable. Yuhdi, |r|s and I have been wearing the SHB92 EX for a year now, though mine starts to show signs of breaking.... I've bought the SHB95 EX already as backup, will buy the SHB88 or 95 Japan version to try....
