Momota was charged up. His resistance flattened Yuqi.

LD should probably coach his juniors in the mental department.

I also like the way Momota gave up the 2nd game after 10-15 and sent the next 5-6 points to Shi Yuqi -- didn't waste the audience's time or insult our intelligence.

I'm beginning to see why BWF wants to change the format to 3 games out of 5 with 11-points each...

Saina takes G1. She probably knows how to play these tall players anyway.

Nothing LD or the coaches can do for Shi Yuqi except "jia-you" -- Shi Yuqi's game-play is so typically "CHN/Chen Long" that there was nothing Momota can't handle...

Shi Yuqi can either start working out to get Chen Long's quads (or Fu Haifeng's biceps), or else hope age catches up with his opponents... the way Shi Yuqi was gasping and gulping like a fish, you wouldn't realize that he is actually younger than Momota, Srikanth, Axelsen, etc.

At least they didn't prolong the match to an over 90 minutes long.
I have no objection for 11 pts system as long as they are for the women's. MD matches are already short as it is.

How I wish and trains them as well, sparring with them frequently and giving pointers now and then.

19-17 now for Jindapol against CYF. She should take advantage of her realtively easy quarter with AY withdrawing. It’s a sure SF once she gets past CYF.

Gao Fangjie dropped G1, trailing wel behind in G2. Experience, experience, the lack thereof.

Chen Long is the last MS standing to console home fans, has good lead 11-3 against Sai Praneeth.

Chen Yufei comes from behind to take G1, 21-19, not bad.

Jindapol just lost 19-21 -- the notorious lack of stamina in Thai players strike again....

Okay x 2, the Thai players are just using this tournament to warm-up for the Uber Cup. ;P

Another of CHN's new hope demolished -- I'm beginning to believe her earlier wins against Marin or Okuhara were just on their "off" days.....

11 points system will be very stressful for players though.

Imagine everytime being close and about. that mental stress wont be easy to cope. I can see people retiring because of 11 points system.
