Hi kwun, My suggestion is to move the Discussion Forums link to the start of the headings and update the first link under Discussion Forums to 2021 Tournaments (right now it shows 2016). The main page could be changed as well, it looks outdated with the old reviews and articles. I don't have an idea now but I will add it when I think of something.
Suggestion: live chat Location - under the main forum page, for logged in users only. It would be fun to comment together on ongoing matches and tournaments. Perhaps it would bring the community closer together. What's more it would help to keep threads about tournaments clean - many posts are simply comments on ongoing matches. Moderation might be a problem. Clear rules for banning in chat (spam, insulting, shitposting) have to be established.
There is a Discord for the reddit r/badminton. The discussions there seem to be mostly very beginner questions, and the format (messages that scroll away, need to be online around the same time) doesn't lend itself well to thoughtful discussions.
Thoughtful discussions are reserved to normal threads. The quality of chat depends on the quality of the community. I see a lot of positive passionate people on this forum, and I feel that allowing quick discussion would be an added value.
Perhaps the easiest to give it a try would be to make a BC discord? No need to put it on the website when there are dedicated services that provide a good experience.
IDK if discord is popular/available in every country. There are forums that I know where shoutbox works well, so it was just an idea. I don't know what it looks like from the technical side. With Vbuletin it was simply a plugin that you just had to configure.
I'd like to be able to search for specific topics that include numbers. It's kind of annoying that when I search for "Nanoray 900" I only get results for "Nanoray."
Unfortunately that's the limitation of the software we are using. I really need to upgrade the software to see if the later version has a better search.
Hi, any chance the captcha problem will be fixed? I finally signed up via tapatalk which I absolutely hate but can't reset password to use the browser as everything requires captcha and it never loads regardless of browser, os, device etc. Sent from my SM-S918B using Tapatalk
