I have ever had 3 consecutive string break. 1 main, 1 secondary and last one only for warming up. And yeah my main was break is normal but the others 2 looks like too long and expired. If you have 3 or 4 rackets, make sure use all of them. Because string has age too
I have a minimum of three myself. If you play a lot and get quite frequent string breakages, then you might think it’s too troublesome to keep going to the stringer and adding a fourth racquet is reasonable. If you play a lot and play tournaments, you might consider adding even a fifth.
Hello, For the past week, i have been playing a lot as the tournament is 2 weeks away. And i can feel the toll it's taking on my body. I usually keep my string tension between 24-26 lbs. My usual string is 66 ultimax ang Nng99, but this winter i was having frequent breakage so i changed to Bg65 for now. I'm slowly trying to get back to playing Singles now. Apparently, there are a lot of tournaments for Veterans (above 35yrs) here. I will be keeping an eye out henceforth. More singles would mean less string breaks hopefully. Thanks.
I would guess that there are more string breakages in singles. Because you are the one doing all the shots and not relying on a partner to get half of them
No easy way to find out.I will have to put it to test. When I play singles i usually feel more movement pressure. Otherwise I always try to hit a clean shot. But in doubles, there is this urgency to attack the shuttle with power.. which will sometime results in mishits(off centre) and immediate string snaps. Plus i can't play as many singles game in a session as compared to MD.
