I too wish to say thank you to @kwun.

Apologize for the frequent down time. I have started working on upgrading the software and the first step is to get the hardware in better shape by consolidating the two 10 years old server nodes into a single faster one and saving some money in the process. But that requires a bunch of work to backup and migrate, etc.
More down time will be expected unfortunately so please bear with me for now.
+1.Thanks, @kwun
(1) May I suggest that people who are selling stuff (eg, rackets, stringing machines, shuttlecocks) make voluntary contributions / donations to badminton central?
(2) same with those offering coaching services / places to play, etc
(3) perhaps 1 to 3% of the value of the items or services for sale or on offer
Thanks again for running badminton central for 26 years.
Hi all,
Firstly, thank you everyone who sent care messages via other channels and media offering concerns and help while BC has been down. Your support is very much appreciated.
Secondly, my sincere apologies for the down time. A cascade of: BC getting flooded with search queries and subsequent filled disk space and resulted in a corrupted database, add onto that my schedule has been crazy for the past few weeks, including organizing and running a 800 players, 54 teams badminton tournament made the repair took much longer than it should.
However, the good news is that I think it has been fixed now. Corrupted database has been fixed, disk space has been cleared up with plenty of spare. Which means BC is back in business.
Meanwhile, I will continue to monitor the disk usage, and will in the near future find ways to avoid such incidents in the future.
If you see any issues with BC's operation, please don't hesitate to contact me about it.
Sincerely.
Yeah this has very much been an constant issue. Common post on badminton subreddit asking about the registration process being bugged
