Roti is one of several types of North Indian flat-bread (without oil).
Parata is one of several types of South Indian flat-bread (with oil).

Singapore's name for North Indian Roti is Nan.
Singapore's name for South Indian Parata is Roti Prata.

By the way, you are severely off-topic, drifit :(
And, now, so am I

actually, i/we dont want to open new thread just for chit chating regarding our 1m posts target by Oly2008. or talking about what happened to BC or what will happened to BC due to congestion or any technical issues. so, just hijack this abandon thread and we keep on updating the news.
now, dont itchy fingers and close this thread.
now, what or how can i help on this issue?
master kungfu Panda might be an excellent helper here.......:)

I never bothered with post counts because the numbers jumped mysteriously during the upgrade to the new forums, back around 2000 (I forogt exactly which year) as the count is actually lower than it really is.

For members who joined after the current forums the post count is fine, but for people who already existed before the upgrade, it's jumped.

    ^^Back in 2000???..^^

..were you spying on BC during that yr??;)..I thought you signed up with BC in 2002??....

Anyway, yeah, speaking of the posts number "mysteriously" jumping, i did a tally y'day of all the posts in all of the sub-forum, and the total no. of posts didn't even add up to 900,000. At least not close to the no. of posts we have now...

Yes I'm a spy :D I do not remember the exact year I signed up however I do believe it was during the 1997 and later because I know it was before 2000.

I just compared my join date with Cheung's, Mag's and Kwan's (as they were all there) date and it lines up of when the forums were upgraded. That is when the the post counts jumped.
