why badminton player earn less than tennis player
A rackets in the hand of an Experienced person like myself make it a DEADLY WEAPON-->>>>I disagree with a statement that a racket is a Mental thing or it won't make a different!!!! REALLY--> As for me , I have 5 different rackets: with 5 different personality: LIght, heavy, extra heavy, balance, longer shaft.(different tensions))I used them to my advantage.......KNOW YOUR WEAPONS...KNOW WHEN TO SWITCH ONE FROM ANOTHER..........this is when you are more knowledgeable + experience in your GAME. If you are beginer, stick to the basic first and be consistence in your swing and technique + footwork.
I think "Shoe" also play important part when it comes to footwork.....i used to wear this cheepo made in china shoe (Butterfly) which provide me with the important grip.
Footwork is very important, yes, but if I wanted to improve my game drastically in 1 week, this is what I would do:
Work on your fitness and muscle strength!!
Having very good footwork won't give you the improvements you're looking for if you can't keep going for more than 15 mins...
Of course but you can improving and working on your footwork while you are working on your fitness
it's not just your footwork you need to be fit too.
I totally agree, because when you can get the stage of having a subconscious level of footwork (with the right technique), then the energy expanded to hit the shuttle used is much less because you're in a better position to hit it.
I definitely agree. Sure some people can do a super powerful 250km/h jump smash but with lack of footwork? Opponents can just return it with a drop or trick lift/push to get the point if you don't have good footwork.

comments please thanks
this guy show nothing to me, he din even know how he move, when he show is totally wrong but when he play with shuttercock is quite correct. but there is no stop after his right leg land.
I believe his smash won't be powerful because his basic swing is wrong.
One more thing
Actually for an adult, from the center court, that i only need one step to reach the net, right handed use right leg, left handed use left leg. I proudly to say that my father is a famous coach. Produce so many champion in Malaysia, Lee Chong Wei is one of his student. And Chin Ee Hui as well
As i play badminton for more than 20 years, my father teach my is about technique and trick shot, only at the front net, there is more than half a dozen trick shot to learn, and at the back court, also have more than half dozen trick shot. But not every student can totally master all the trick shot. Lee Chong Wei get his Malaysia under 18 champion at the age of 16 because of his trick shot. But sadly he forget most of it nowaday because lack of training.
trick shots are good whether using yr racket, yr body or any means but you just cant use them too often. if fact even the pro seldom use it - very2x rare.
this days the game is so fast even when it looks like stroke play but the number of shots per 10sec is much more than before.
remember hafiz won the all england with his unique fh flick? later that year a lot of people waited for that shot and also one of china 'test player', chen chang jee? very3x hard smasher. his 1st win in us after that no more..
Trick shots are most effective at any level of play. Rudy Hartono found great difficulty in handling Punch Gunalan's trick shots at the net in one of the All England finals in the 70s.
Just learn and master 5 trick shots around the net and you are on your way to challenge any good player. Good Luck
1. Do tell your types of net trick shots.
2. I use trick shots against a lesser player, never against an opponent who's better.
ha..ha..you got stung by the bees!!! that's smart move!
Dang cooler that's a nice link. I like it, I'll try to talk about this to our coach
that was great contribution from you, wonder how many searches you did?
that's the standard indonesian training style, speed and power and anyone going in has to make sure you are make of steel...
sick video! very nice find hehe
i am now using yonex basic series which is made of steel. do you guys think i should change to a newer racket?? so far i am comfortable with this racket.
