I string my BG80 at 22/24lbs. I play 2-3 times a week. BG-80 lasts me several months. I do smash whenever I can and I haven't had any break on me yet.

Miss hit, frequent slice shots, bad storage will all be more damaging to the string than smash.

hmm, i have been slicing on all my short serves but i don't see any fraying of strings. that will do damage to strings too?

yeah, i discovered my AT are quite sucky until Powerplay. i never played more than 25lb on yonex. but on ZELM, both are between 26 - 28lb. & i agreed with you that Zelm is suitable for rough handling. :D

i strung my ZELM powerplay 9990 at 28 x 30lbs BG 80 and 2 days of use this is what happened unfortunately. has not broken yet and that was a little while ago. the string us nice don't get me wrong but just doesn't have a nice feel to it but that's just me.

Erm, I'm currently using BG80 at 24 lbs and I'm practising smashes. One thing that concerns me is that my strings are moving slightly after some hard smashes. Is it my wrong technique or the string?

most likely it's because the string is 0.68mm thin. Mine moves slightly as well. It seems to move more as the string gets thinner.

I recently had my SOTX woven 7 strung at 25 lbs with BG 80.
And... i find out that every after smash or rally, I look at my strings and they seem to be all over the place (not straight)... am I smashing wrong?...

do you understand what I mean?

the string is going left and right and u have ot use your hand to adjust it back to the normal position? is that what u mean?

i can say that's normal though.

yes i have to adjust it before every rally.. kind of annoying..

would it be that the strings are cold? winter is approaching...

since the strings are not aligned, does it affect the way you hit the bird?
