    Hi guys,

This summer I'm going to Indonesia and I'm planning to buy some badminton stuff, mostly clothes: shorts and shirts. Where in Jakarta can I find a good shop with big assortment? Lots of brands, like Yonex, Flypower, Li-Ning, Adidas, Astec... Please recommend me some shops.

    Thanks!

There are several shops in Jakarta, as follows:

    Saudara Sport - Central Jakarta

    Fisik Sport - West Jakarta
specializes in Lining products, & has several model of clothes

Alternatively, you may also buy online, and request the Seller to deliver the package to your hotel in Jakarta.

Is there any online shop from Indonesia that sell authentic sunrise yonex apparels? i see most of them sell faked Yonex apparels at very cheap price.

    Try here

    http://www.badmintonline.net/

This webstore, from Surabaya - East Java, specializes in JP Coded YY products, from rackets, bags, shoes, apparels, etc.

As regards SP Coded apparels, you may find a (very) few of Sunrise collections in Samudra Sport or Saudara Sport. However these are offline stores (not online).

It seems that Yonex authorized importer (or Sunrise's subsidiary in Jakarta), prefers not to import the clothing due to the high import taxes for apparel / textile products.

Thus it would not be easy to seek for Sunrise's apparels in Jakarta. The only opportunity to purchase the Sunrise's apparels are during the event of BCA Indonesia Open. They always open stand for various kinds of Yonex SP products there.

I wish Sunrise would revise their policy for exporting clothing into Indonesia in the future. Most of the recreational players here use apparels produced by Victor / Lining / Flypower/Astec (or any other local brand's), which are easier to find through their respective distribution channel/retailers.

    IMHO.

Thanks for the suggestion. Agreed that the import duty & taxes in Jakarta has always been a pain in the *$$. The taxes itself wasn't really high but the admin fee is quite troublesome. I did, however, figured out a way to avoid this import duty whenever buying from sunrise singapore. Appearantly, there is an okay allowance of USD50 free of i port duty for any product less or equal to USD50. All i need to make sure was to inform my seller to write the total value of my package less than USD50 and label as gift instead of commercial purchases. That, i could import original sunrise apparels at cheaper price, probably cheaper than what i can find in Indonesia. I was just thinking that maybe, somewhere in Indonesia, there's a store than sell some authentic yonex (Non-JP label, because everything label JP is insanely pricey) with sunrise as the main distributor. But so far 99.9% online stores or non-online sell either faked apparels OR super insane price tag.
