I think it was more like a personal vendetta between Conrad and Kevin. He wouldn't have reacted that way if it wasn't Kevin and Kevin wouldn't have reacted that way either if it wasn't Conrad. There had been bad blood between these two and unfortunately the umpire got dragged into this feud and he made it worse by making that "I didn't see it" decision in favor to the Danes. The last gesture of that thumb down (I suspect) from Kevin was telling Conrad something like, who are you to lecture me about honor/respect when you didn't honor it yourself. Kevin was once told off by Conrad after a match and got some lecturing about honor/respect. So in other words, it was just Kevin and Conrad overreacting like some immature brats over their personal feelings. All unnecessary and inappropriate but they didn't seem to care. Though Kevin's attitude to the umpire was yellow or red card potential. But while Kevin was ready to play on, the umpire was still trying to call Kevin to explain himself.
