Book report: Hou Jia Chang Autobiography

I had a wonderful chance to play a friendly game with couch Hou few years back when I visited him in Hattiesburg (Southern Mississippi Univ.) His wife was the gymnastic coach the school. In his free time, he tried to coach some of the students there. His passion I guess.

I know he has knee problem and can not move as freely as he like. But still his badminton move and stroke was so efficient and effortless. A friendly giant indeed. It's my great honor to know him.

Hi Kwun,
Thanks for the update.

Yes, I too was quite touched just by reading your summary.
I will now make a special effort to look out for copies in Malaysia!
:D

The commitment of Badminton player.. He is the unsung hero of badminton... I dont even know his name but it is so inspiring.

wow. how lucky you actually played with him. this time when he comes out, i don't think he played at all. he says his knees are really bothering him. it would've been a treat to see him hit a few shots.

Her younger sister was my classmate but I have never met him. Last Year a friend of mine who know him want to take me to see him but i didn't take that opportunity.

You probably need to order it through California Badminton Academy. I was there on Saturday morning and saw a handful of copies left.

English or Chinese?

Kwun,

I hope it's in English since some of us can not read Chinese at all.
Thanks.
