BWF CALENDAR 2018

Isn't that gold-silver-bronze-emerald(?) color?
Your answers are correct, but those colors are not eye catching elements.

They should make those logos into more elegant & fancy logos, BWF still have enough time to revise them and release those updated logo with BWF World Tour Finals logo which is still under development curently.

VERY AGREE WITH YOU
the logo is so plain, and actually a bit disturbing (maybe because of the colour and the kinda 'zig zag' pattern?)
tbh, I think one subtle but quite impactful factor in the successfulness of SuperSeries is because of those very catchy logo

BWF Unveils ‘World Tour’ Portal
Thursday, January 11, 2018

BWF-World-Superseries-Banner-Design-2018_960x400_CS6-960x385.jpg

Fans have a brand new website on which to follow all the happenings on the HSBC BWF World Tour – from the season’s first tournament in Thailand to the blockbuster finale in Guangzhou, China.

The Badminton World Federation’s latest bespoke portal (http://bwfworldtour.com) has been launched to capture the exciting news, performances and tournament results as players seek to qualify for the season showdown in December.

Various links offer detailed information on the remodelled event series, with the Calendar link cascading into a chronology of the 26 tournaments comprising the BWF World Tour. This concludes with the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals which is the ultimate goal for all players. Christened the HSBC Race to Guangzhou, the Tour rankings will be updated after each event (including the 11 BWF Tour Super 100 events) and fans can check how their favourite stars are faring via the Rankings link.

Click on Live and be transported to ongoing Tour events for scores and results while tournament articles and photos can be found on News. Meanwhile, Tour takes fans on a global guide of the series, highlighting completed, ongoing and future events.

We hope badminton fans will enjoy this new portal which is designed to bring them up-to-date information and make it easy for them to follow the HSBC BWF World Tour and, of course, the HSBC Race to Guangzhou,” said BWF Secretary General Thomas Lund.

This site is integrated into our network of websites but is strictly dedicated to the Tour and everything happening around it. This is the go-to location for the Tour and we anticipate it will become very popular as we engage more with our fans in this new and exciting era of badminton.

Excerpt : BWF unveils 'Super 100' (11 tournaments) result will be included into HSBC Race to Guangzhou with more clear statement by now.

Note : I will update the first page (Post #3) with the most useful & important contents regarding BWF events in 2018 on ward. So anyone of you could jump into the first page and get important updates directly. :D

Just change the Color of Logos whether its Gold-Silver-Red since the Logos already made. Just not all Red.

Oh , "BWF unveils 'Super 100' (11 tournaments) result will be included into HSBC Race to Guangzhou " ?

How can that be when previously the SS Standings are limited to only Superseries tournaments, not even GPG/GP were included ? Now BWF is going to include the lowest level events Super 100 of which there are 11 such tournaments?

Strange that the Super 100 events count in the Race to Guangzhou and yet not part of the BWF - HSBC sponsorship deal. Inconceivable. Does that mean the top players who think they might not qualify for the Guangzhou WTF by competing only in the 12 compulsory WT events can play as many of the Super 100 events as possible to rack up the requisite ranking points to get into the top 8 ?

the stock price of HSBC surges after the announcement by BWF in Guangzhou.

After that they just use the "placeholder" which use the word "FINAL" in red LOL

This logo is somewhat too HSBC-ized for me, I wonder if they will keep this should HSBC stop sponsoring some day

Why not just removed the word HSBC or put it to the smaller Logo.

Its not as if the MetLife word is there in the past Logo to say the least.

Come to think of it, the new BWF tournament structure and nomenclature isn't too bad, actually; only needs getting used to.

First, each tournament name has a unique identifier based on the sponsor and location and given name if any, eg Princess Sirivannavari; then, it's classified according to whether it's a HSBS World Tour Super Series or International Challenges or International Series ; next, if it's World Tour Series, it's further broken down into Grades and Levels, with Levels further delineated into prize money bands, viz. Super 1000/750/500/300/100.

All in all, quite similar to ITTF table tennis.

They have it for BWF Tour Super 100. (I found none for other level so far)

Super 100 logo has a different color cause it's not a BWF World tour therefore it's not sponsored by HSBC.

Yeah, the BWF World tour logo is too HSBC-ized as someone already posted.

May I know where did you exactly find this logo. I've been browsing for 30 minutes lol
LOL :D

I had just browsed the source code of the website page : http://bwfcorporate.com/events/bwf-world-tour/
Code:
data-full="..."
srcset="..."
Once I checked through the source code, I had just found it there ;)

Maybe the website admin had a plan to put it along with other level logos but somehow, the website admin couldn't. Since he got a message from his boss, "Hey, don't put it there! Super 100 isn't a part of BWF World Tour". And he removed it. But the fact, the picture remain in their server. :D

4th January 2018. is the date of the picture being uploaded into their server.
The file itself has a time stamp of date created/modified on 9th January 2018.

So you may not find it anywhere else, except here.

Hmm.... the old but still good enough....

Well, I guess the inclusion of BWF300 to the WorldTour is to increase badminton popularity. Its an incentive.

More countries will be winning it and its included in the WorldTour ( or Wikipedia for that matter).

Come to think of it BWF1000 or BWF300 might not be so different for the fans afterall. Well, whether its fair or not fair its up to everyone judges?

Total boosts badminton reach

Global energy giant extends sponsorship to new BWF World Tour

Zug, Switzerland — Global energy group Total has strengthened its commitment to badminton by signing up as Official Sponsor of the Badminton World Federation's (BWF) newly launched World Tour series.

The deal, negotiated by Infront as BWF's exclusive media and marketing partner, sees the group become a partner of the new HSBC BWF World Tour and the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals until 2021.

A dedicated partner in promoting badminton since 2015, Total will continue as the title sponsor, the most prestigious sponsorship tier, for all BWF Major Events, including such showpieces as the BWF World Championships, Sudirman Cup and the Thomas & Uber Cup Finals.

Good argument from badmintonplanet:

BadmintonPlanet.com think BWF is at a crossroads, where it is trying to spread the popularity of badminton to locations such as North America or European countries too much and hopping to see the impact in a short under an unrealistic time-line.
To make a sport popular, BWF has to understand that it takes time, money and some form of popular cultural representations. Since the sport is so popular and most of the top badminton players are from Asia, when these players starting to play passively (because they have to, or they’ll face fine from BWF), BWF is at risk of alienating fans and corporate sponsors even further in Asia.
If BWF let this mess continue to evolve in unforeseen ways, the interest in the sport will eventually dwindle, and badminton will slowly become a dying sport that no one wants to play or watch.
