Woah, such rarity! This feat can't be easily repeated. The WS semifinalists are all the top 4 seeded players. They are all equal. As for MS, the Danes are clearly in higher league than the CHN youngsters.
SEMIFINAL (11.00am) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...7815DE-0F9F-4BB4-842F-AE0AF0496ACF&d=20190223 Viktor Axelsen shows his class to eliminate the sensational Singaporean Loh Kean Yew, 21-13 / 21-10 in 31 minutes. CHN-DEN affairs in singles category, the A-lister Danish players Axelsen and Antonsen are highly favoured to overcome low-ranked Chinese back-ups, Ren PB and Zhao JP respectively. TPE new scratch pair then possibly would be permanent partnership Lee Y/Wang CL score big upset to stun Astrup/Rasmussen, 21-15 / 21-15 and Danish aging combination in next round Boe/Mogensen will be their next hurdle. watching the mas nationals - noticed the orang besar gotten all area in the back of centre court, facing the streaming camera. why why why. cant other spectators be accommodated/seats set up in the area immediately behind these orang besars? or maybe the collective egos can be accommodated otherwise.
Oh. Is it? I wonder what coaches' shoes or shorts have to do with their student's match. Sent from my SM-G600FY using Tapatalk
such are badminton laws, coaches are tournament officials, and according to badminton laws all officials have to follow certain etiquette, clothes are one of many aspects
Ahh.. I missed the first MD match Lee/Wang vs BoeMog. This is BoeMo first SF after a while, but the well done for the new TPE pair to reach the Final.
The highlight was in G2 when TPE hits a shot which lands in but is called out by baseline judge and then Lee Yang complains but doesnt realise there is hawk-eye. The service judge then reminds him and he challenges and wins the point after which Boe starts complaining at the service judge
Oh no, another CHN player injured.. RPB retired. Can't they provide him a wheelchair or any support at all? He is skipping on his leg out of the court .. geesh
Ren pengbo has the game. Really , i felt like he will go even beyond what shi yuqi has achieved. But still time will tell. Is he retired? Sent from my SM-G600FY using Tapatalk
Strong showing from Danish players all round. They are the only real European threat to the dominance of Asian players in badminton. I wonder why it is that other Scandinavian countries like Norway and Sweden do not have any world-ranking players like the Danes do. These countries are neighbours to Denmark yet they are not producing players of the same calibre.
Oh dear, I missed the action earlier, so Ren Pengbo was injured as I suspected when I checked the score and saw the word 'retired'. The replay showed him twisting his right ankle as he landed executing a jump-smash. Wonder how bad the injury is,nevertheless, hope to see him recover in time for the start of the OG cycle in end April. Frankly,I was waiting to see if he and Lu Guangzu can both join Shi Yuqi to reinforce CHN MS which is clearly in need of new blood to replace Chen Long who is in the tail-end of his career and, needless to say, Lin Dan, the Grand Daddy of CHN badminton whose Olympic quest I honestly discount as beyond hope. As I understand it, CHN WS Chen Xiaoxin also retired with some injury in R1 after trailing 1-4 in G1.
