Ahh.. I missed the first MD match Lee/Wang vs BoeMog. This is BoeMo first SF after a while, but the well done for the new TPE pair to reach the Final.
The highlight was in G2 when TPE hits a shot which lands in but is called out by baseline judge and then Lee Yang complains but doesnt realise there is hawk-eye. The service judge then reminds him and he challenges and wins the point after which Boe starts complaining at the service judge

Strong showing from Danish players all round. They are the only real European threat to the dominance of Asian players in badminton. I wonder why it is that other Scandinavian countries like Norway and Sweden do not have any world-ranking players like the Danes do. These countries are neighbours to Denmark yet they are not producing players of the same calibre.
Oh dear, I missed the action earlier, so Ren Pengbo was injured as I suspected when I checked the score and saw the word 'retired'. The replay showed him twisting his right ankle as he landed executing a jump-smash. Wonder how bad the injury is,nevertheless, hope to see him recover in time for the start of the OG cycle in end April. Frankly,I was waiting to see if he and Lu Guangzu can both join Shi Yuqi to reinforce CHN MS which is clearly in need of new blood to replace Chen Long who is in the tail-end of his career and, needless to say, Lin Dan, the Grand Daddy of CHN badminton whose Olympic quest I honestly discount as beyond hope. As I understand it, CHN WS Chen Xiaoxin also retired with some injury in R1 after trailing 1-4 in G1.
