KTago wins against SonWH, as the later retires in the 2nd game..

    21-9 11-3 Retired

Dubai is turning out to be a unfortunate venue (in terms of injuries) for top players..

Yes, poor HKV, will have to start all over again, for a place in semifinal, as all those matches/results of SonWH will be discarded now.

Bae Yeon Ju defeated Wang Shixian today, Wang Yihan at the recent China Open and at the Asian Games, she beat Intanon 21-4 18-21 21-8. How did Bae lose to Sung Ji Hyun yesterday in straight sets in only 29 mins?

this is something very interesting to me, its like their game suits well against certain opponents. .if we talk about saina here, she is like tough to beat for the players who plays well against wang yihan and li xuerui and also beat them sometimes, but saina finds it hard to beat the very same wang yihan and li xuerui. its kind of clash of playing styles.

When Maheswari and Ahsan retired yesterday whereby they were not completing a match, if they recover can each respective pair resume playing in the next match?

The Regulation states: “If injury, illness, disqualification or other unavoidable hindrance prevents a player/pair completing all the pool matches, all the results of that player/pair shall be deleted. Retiring during a match shall be considered to be not completing all pool matches.”

No, the player/pair must complete all group stage matches according to SS Finals rules, so practically both pairs and the latest one Son WH will not play any remaining matches.

Are you guys sure that HKV will not get any points?
Or is it a case that points will nullified for the player retiring only?
In other words - all opponents of SWH gets 2 points. I think that's an equivalent scenario to all getting 0 points.

A worrying sign, WYH looks lost and reacting to TTY's shots most of the time.

WYH is struggling in the front court, slow to react on the drop shots, 16-7, runaway for TTY!
