They could have qualified easily if they had chosen to play in Syed Modi. After winning AG gold, and after deciding to withdraw from Arctic open s500 & Denmark open s750, they chose not to participate in Syed Modi, simply because WTF was NOT on their agenda for this year. As simple as that!!

It is sad to see that Yamaguchi has withdrawn from the Finals, as well as the All-Japan Championships later this month due to injury. She will be returning to the circuit in January, and is expected to play at the Malaysia Open.

Syed Modi is NOT counted for TOur Finals!.. I think BWF announced some time ago.
Satwik & Chirag participation may add little more little TV viewer interest in India on very low base.

So BWF and its lathargy continues on Court 2 Mat they didnt even bother to tape it or join it together properly as you can see the gaps well wide on both sides.

EDIT -: I really hope they change this red colour from next year its very bad for eyes..they could make it blue for change if they want it to have some peculiarity.

I had simillar apprehensions about her given her play style being fantastic and very skillful also has been very risky and I feared if that may cost her an injury which would jeaporidze her game and thats what I fear has happened.

Though I hope she recovers well but I feel may be she hasnt fully recovered yet and needs a bit more time but then next years is OLY so she will have to recaliberate herself fast.

Yes I agree with you. Horrible was understatement. She is atrociously bad in speaking English! Mumbling here and there confusing the audience with bad grammar and nonsensical words! And worse of all, she mispronounced almost all the players' name!! This is unacceptable! She called up Victor Axelson as Victor Essen!! She should be sacked right on stage!!

She has heavy Chinese accent but she must at least know stuffs about badminton! She seemed clueless who this event is for? What's the point of hosting in English when she herself cannot speak the language properly and confidently on stage! She sounded very nervous as well

China should either hire people from English speaking countries or do an AI announcements given its so hard for them to manage a well english spoken host for an event of WTF scale.

dont judge so harshly and too arrogant, just because u can speak english mainly due to colonization by the british in the past.

the problem is whether the interpreter from english speaking country can understand chinese well?

Firstly,Im not judging just putting forth my opinion.Secondly,I fail to understand where does any of my forementioned words reek of arrogance ?

Also I can speak or write english because of how I was educated (academics) and the medium in which my education was bestowed upon me, which was the language of English..So your logic behind colonization is as farce as your comprehension...Given ENGLISH also happens to be the normal medium forumers here use to exchange their posts,I guess you seem to be mentally colonized as well lolz

And your point of an interpreter from English Speaking nation not being able to understand Chinese well enough to translate doesn't really gel well with the contemporary advancements we have made in tech for there is a thing called AI along with myriad others...quite similar to what you seem to have used for interpreting my previous post to respond to.

This is the only time you will get a response from my end as any further engagements are futility of discourse to engage any further.
