Well George, it was Oldhand who prefers a glass of ice lemon tea. :p
But I will accompany X Ball for at least a mug of beer, just to show my gratitude as a good guest.

Oldhand and I will wait to welcome X Ball, once he is due in Singapore. We know his favourite haunt here! :)

Sorry even LCW has disappointed you and the rest of the Boleh gang. :(

    I can not believe this..

..this thread has not reached the 500 posts mark and has less than 15,000 views...

But the good thing is, despite the CHN's army sweeping all the titles, we shall hear the "Malaysia Boleh" chants next yr again at the AE and the broken down wagon will go into repair, am i right, Pemuda??..;)

    LCW is a Proton Waja

A Proton Waja is a car.

It will get you from point A to point B.

It is economcal when it comes to fuel consumption.

... But take that Proton Waja out of Malaysia and put it in the world market to compete with the other auto makers, well, thats a different story then.

LCW is our Malaysian badminton champion.

LCW is the undisputed king when he is playing at home. He is flawless in his defence and placement of shots when playing at home. He is a champion when playing at home, he is the MS WR1.

... But take LCW out of Malaysia, you will have an above average shuttler.

LD, despite being away from competitive badminton for 3 months, played at 70% and still dictated the game from start to finish. I think LD were too casual at times and made numerous unforced errors. But being a true world champion, LD made LCW run all over and toyed with our so called WR1 like some pet puppy.

Malaysia, BAM, Boleh fans and all need to be realistic, we aint going to win the OG gold in 2012 when we are struggling so bad in the AE. Our senior shuttlers are not good enough. And our juniors at best are average shuttlers. Forget about 2012, 2016 is a more realistic target.

For this AE and future overseas tournaments, BAM should ONLY send our best shuttlers. For god's sake, lets show dead woods like HH, KBH the door. The same goes for our juniors, only send the best amongst the current crop. And I am of the opinion our juniors are all substandard. There is a global recession out there and BAM should exercise prudent measures especially when we are dealing with public funds.

    Lastly, lets take a look at our current MS WR1, Datuk LCW and the true MS WR1, LD ;

LCW - No OG gold, No WC, No AE
    LD - 1 OG gold, 2 WC, 4 AE

If I take in the rest of the SS titles, it will be a riot.

We got to accept that LCW will not win the AE. This year was his best chance. With the OG gold gone as well, the WC this year will be LCW's last chance to bag a major title.

... but then again, it will be pretty impossible for a Proton Waja to stand up to the Hondas, Nissans, Mercedes Benzs, Audis out in the world market.

    Malaysia Boleh!!!

Hi Pemuda, I think BAM should send more players out to compete instead. Keeping them at home and training will not get them anywhere.
