The x900 is very light at only 82g so it's not quite as powerful as rackets such as the voltric 80 but it's very fast for defense.
Thank You Dave. Voltric i-Force also a very light weight racket of 78g(5U) So I think x900 also performe same as i-Force. The fact I'm interested is x900 much cheaper than i-Force. Is x900 also made in Japan?
I'll have to agree with Paul here, Carlton of today is no where near where it used to be in the past. Since its merger or buy out by direct sports the quality has suffered significantly. The brand was a big player and pioneer in badminton and as such won a place in the hearts of many as the TRUE specialist brand. As they continue to innovate still with new technologies such as integrating Vectran into the shaft, pioneering the Bi-axial dynamics and Optimetric head shape made the racket very fast. I had purchased a Vapour Trail S-Lite (2014) and after suffering a collision with another racket, the frame broke right through and saw the end of my racket as well as my faith in Carlton products, needless to say my racket my spotless without even a single paint chip. However, within a month of using it the plastic cone was cracking at the shaft and pealing off, I don't know if this has anything to do with quality assurance and manufacturing since these rackets are now made in China and are relatively cheaper than the previous Airblade and Powerblade rackets made before the buy out. I really hope to see Carlton return to its former glory. S. Muridall (Georgetown, Guyana)
I believe in the early to mid 2000's the brand was bought out by Dunlop-Slazenger. which had plans to phase out the brand and focus on their Dunlop line of rackets. But after Mr. Ashley bought over Dunlop-Slazenger they decided to keep the brand going. Much to our excitement but with quality issues far below expectations. S. Muridall (Georgetown, Guyana.)
