Even though the MAS crowd was initially making fun of her grunts/shouts by copying her, Marin eventually won them over by her physical and gutsy plays. By the third game, the crowd was rooting for Marin more than LXR.

Good work indeed. She has established that she belongs in the top.

She is a good player and a dedicated one. She concentrates 100% during her matches and does not allow outside interference to influence her task.

And to win over the crowd with her gutsy play showed that her effort is appreciated.

I remember there was a point challenge by LXR and the crowd were rooting for CM and CM won it.

    She will have more fans.

i'm a huge fan...i personally have no issues with her constant shouting. yes it might be annoying to some, but to me WSX's shrieks are more annoying.

For women this is no problem, they can train with men.

If you look at Korea, Thailand, Japan and China they have numerous top WS players to train with.

It's definitely a problem and a disadvantage. Also, Pablo Abian would be looking elsewhere for partners himself so i've no idea which other quality players Marin can train against in Spain?

Have you read my answer? This is no problem. They can train with semi professional midtier men. They should be still better as the top women, maybe not technically but speed- and powerwise

To the best of my knowledge Marin hasn't entered such leagues. She did play in IBL 2013 though.

Yes, and I still believe it is an issue.

No way "semi professional midtier men" can give CM a good sparing partner. Many men have the illusion that they can match the WS we see on tv, but that is far from the case.

    sorry for off topic:

"Semi professional midtier men" can give a good sparing to top WS players like CM.
Just watch this video where Yihan Wang plays against the University Amateur Champion (Song Zongyao ??).

You have probably no clue what kind of physical difference between men and women there is. I think that any man who is playing in a top national league can beat top international women players easily.

The women of course will be technically better, but the men will compensate this with higher endurance, power and speed.

For instance several years ago the German women football team who were back then the current world champions lost to a B-Team of 14-16 year old boys in a test game.

When she competes in tournaments she will play against other top female players, training with men does not help her.

In my opinion it is more beneficial for her to train with partners that are similar to the types of opponents she's going to face in the tournaments.

Maybe we should start a new thread on this topic, but lets not derail Marin's thread.

I remember that Camilla Martin also trained with male players because she could not find any Danish WS players at her level.

I think it's fine to scream *during* the shot... but in Marin's case, the screams (6-7 in fact) occur after she wins a rally, more if she made the winning shot, less if her opponent made an error...
