Hi CCCers,
CBA (Melbourne) asked us if we wish to participate in their Spring Season Inter-Club Competition.
Below are the info;
* The Spring Season runs from mid-end July to end November.
* There will be a break during the State School Holidays.
* There are 2 formats of play:-
(1) 2 Player format (we call it Singles) consisting of 2 people per team (ladies can play). Each player will play 2 Singles matches and one Doubles match in a 2 hour time limit.
(2) 4 Player format (Doubles) consisting of 2 Men and 2 Ladies.
Each player plays a Gender specific doubles and 2 Mixed doubles in a 3 hour time limit.
* All matches are played using the rally point scoring method:-
(1) Singles matches are the best of 3 games to a maximum of 15 points.
(2) Doubles matches are the bext of 3 games to a maximium of 21 points.
* There are 2 levels of Singles competition:-
(1) The higher grade plays on Monday night.
(2) The lower grade on Thursday.
* There are 2 levels of Doubles competition:-
(1) The higher grade plays on Wednesday night.
(2) The lower grade on Tuesday.
* Normal starting time is 8:00pm and finishing time is 10:00pm (for Singles) or 11:00pm (for Doubles). But on Mondays, there are 2 matches on one court; the earlier one from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, the later from 9:00pm to 11:00pm.
* Entries for the Spring Season close in early June.
