CCC is a Badminton Club with a family of members. . Greetings, This was posted in another CCC thread. Perhaps, it should be posted here too. ====== * ====== start post ====== * ====== CCC is a Badminton Club with a family of members. Our members are friendly towards our visitors, and because of this, all our visitors are made felt at home. Below is a brief history about our CCC Badminton Club, a standard mail sent to anyone asking about our club. ====== ====== start mail ====== ====== CCC was initially established as a Coaching Club. Our trainees worked on exercises in footwork, strokes, drills, player's positions, match tactics, reaction time, etc... CCC was to teach trainees the 'Art of Playing Better Badminton'. We run a structured program for training purposes only. Our trainees are trained to focus on improving their own skill and ability. - It was later, when our trainees suggested that they wished to play more games, to practise amongst themselves, that our Social Games sessions were organised. We then welcome visitors to participate in our Social Games. - At the moment, we have many visiting players joining our CCC Social Games. Our trainees are quite happy about this because they get to play with different players from different training backgrounds. ====== ====== end mail ====== ====== Actually, our members have a lot to say about what direction(s) our club should be heading. In the past, when our CCC sessions had got so big, a "scary" suggestion was even put forward, which was: "No more visitors, only members to attend our CCC sessions". To become a member of CCC, just submit your application with a membership form. The membership fees: $10 per month, payable per season for 3 months. Student concessions are also available. The fees applicable to our CCC members are: Coaching Sessions at MSAC ... Sundays 10:00am-12:00noon ..... $15 ... (Visitors $20) Social Sessions at MSAC ........ Wednesdays 7:30pm-11:00pm ... $8 .... (Visitors $10) Social Sessions at Waverley ..... Fridays 7:30pm-10:30pm .......... $8 .... (Visitors $10) Btw, there could be more CCC sessions coming up on different days of the week, perhaps at Altona, Box Hill, Balwyn, Oakleigh, etc ...... Hi Chris. you may need to update some of these threads. New players may think that you only charge $10 per session based on the information here.
Since CCC is listed as being affiliated with Central Badminton Association, who are in turn associated with Badminton Victoria, does your membership include Badminton Victoria membership?
To update some of these threads . Thanks Hullabaloo, the $10 is for membership for one month (which is $30 paid every season; Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter). When attending our Social session, members pay $8. Visitors pay $12. When attending our Coaching session, members pay $20. Visitors pay $25. .
CCC is affiliated with CBA . We will need to discuss this matter because some changes will need to be looked at. CCC became affiliated with CBA in 2010. Our CCC membership has always been structured short-termed, which is for a period of 3 months, and to be paid 4 times per year. This is to allow members to try out CCC membership without an annual commitment (We know that many clubs do; for a term of one whole year). Badminton Victoria membership is an annual membership requirement. It looks like CCC would need to structure our membership to an annual period so that we fall into the same way Badminton Victoria runs their membership. If a person joins CCC and pay for a 3-months' membership, CCC won't have enough to pay for this person's Badminton Victoria annual membership (for a 12-months' period). .
CCCers can apply for Badminton Victoria membership through CBA . We have been informed that CCCers can apply for Badminton Victoria membership through CBA. The easiest way would be to see me early on a Wednesday night and I can arrange it. .
