Hi wenyi ... This is not an easy question to answer. Different players have different reasons why the like different rackets.

When we like a certain racket, it is because we like how it feels. Some factors are;
* Racket Overall Weight
* Racket Head Weight
* Handle Grip Size
* Shaft Flexibility
* String Tension
* etc, ......

What one player likes/prefers, will be different from another player's.
Some good threads can be found at Badminton Central: click here

To save me from typing heaps, it's best to talk about this subject at our CCC Lunch/Dinner/Supper after one of our sessions.

Also see if you can borrow to use/test different rackets from our CCCers during our sessions.

Is there an option to stop the e-mail notifications from CCC Badminton?........

.
Hi CCCers,

Found this question (which is one of our common/frequent questions):
Is there an option to stop the e-mail notifications from CCC Badminton?

For the answer, please read this post that I have added in our thread titled;
CCC Badminton: Frequently Asked Questions: click here

====== * ====== * ====== start post ====== * ====== * ======

Question: How to stop getting vast number of emails from CCC at Badminton Central?

Answer: Many CCCers found it best to bookmark our CCC Site (click here) and read our threads/posts when they find time.

To unsubscribe from our individual CCC threads, follow the steps below:
1. UserCP
2. Edit Options
3. Messaging & Notification
4. Default Thread Subscription Mode

If you set the 'Thread Subscription Mode' to 'Do not subscribe' or 'No email notification', then you won't be getting vast number of emails from CCC at Badminton Central.

But then again, please read our CCC Site (click here) when you can find time. This is because we have many other CCC activities that you might not be aware of.

Anyone who could take over the organising of our Friday sessions at Waverley?........

.
Greetings,

I have posted this message in our thread titled - CCC Badminton Club: Announcements
(click here)

====== * ====== * ====== start message ====== * ====== * ======

Greetings,

Last Friday, 09-Oct-2009, was our 170th Friday CCC Session at Waverley Christian College. Our 1st Friday session started on 28-Apr-2006. We have played at WCC on 170 out of the 180 Fridays. The 10 times we did not play were because the gym was not available for us.

For me, travelling across Melbourne (from north-west to south-east) to organise our sessions there has become tiring. I would wish to take a break, starting from the beginning of November 2009. I hope to take a break over the coming Spring/Summer months.

Is there anyone who could take over the organising of our Friday sessions at Waverley?

Please respond if interested. The college needs to know who will take over the responsibility for the conditions/keys/security codes of the gym.

FHF's smash was measured during a match (during play)

FHF's record was only 332km/h and the new record is 421km/h. What a difference and what a power. :confused:

TBH's smash was measured in a non-match environment, but as a single smashing-power test.

Lee Chong Wei’s Yonex All England T-shirt sold for Charity

.
Hi CCCers,

Received this mail: Lee Chong Wei’s Yonex All England T-shirt sold for Charity

Lee Chong Wei’s Yonex All England T-shirt sold for Charity

One of the T-shirts Lee Chong Wei wore on his road to his historical win in the recently held Yonex All England is being put to auction today, Monday March 29th 2010 for a limited time – one week, with auctions closing on April 5th 2010 on Solibad

The world number one from Malaysia, who ended his country’s title drought in the prestigious event since 2003, gave away one of his winning shirts right after the final before signing it.
“It is my pleasure to give this special T-shirt to SOLIBAD for its hard work. I wish the foundation all the best and I hope the selling of the shirt will be of some help” said Lee Chong Wei after the final.

The T-shirt is the limited Edition that only Lee Chong Wei wears and can not be found in regular stores.

All the benefits of the auction will be going to the newly born Foundation SOLIBAD – Badminton Without Borders, which helps local projects around the world. Some of the ongoing projects are orphanages in Kuala Lumpur, Lee Chong Wei’s hometown, but also in Bali, Indonesia, and a common project with “Peace & Sport” called “1000 rackets for Haiti”.

The auction starts at noon on March 29th on Ebay, and will be closing next Monday April 5th, at 11.00 am Paris time (10 am GMT, 6 PM Kuala Lumpur time)
