Friday night, 15-Sep-2006, is our CCC Session#22, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Hi everyone@ccc, Friday night, 15-Sep-2006, is our CCC Session#22, CONGRATULATIONS!!! We will still welcome friends of yours or anyone new to join us in this session. To Date: 104 players have attended CCC. We are still welcoming players to join our CCC Membership. Our membership will be closed when membership reaches 32. Last Friday, 8-Sep-2006, we had 26 players attending (15 Members, 11 Casual Visitors). Send me an email to ask me for a CCC Membership Form. My email address is chris@cccbadminton.com Players are to print out your Membership Form and to fill in your details before you attend. Players without printer can fill in our printed forms when you arrive. Just ask Llewellyn at the reception desk. As usual, I will be out coaching on Friday so I won't be replying mails. But you can get me on my mobile phone = 0419-542-037. CCC Handicapped Competition: Participants are asked to; 1. Organise yourself with a Doubles Partner earlier before the night. 2. Arrive to inform us of your Doubles Partnership, so that our competition boards can set up earlier. 3. Note: When the attendance is low, Singles Competition will be played instead. 4. The Selecting Team per MAGNETIC BOARD is to draw empty boxes on the SCORE BOARD. 5. The Winning Team of the Match is to fill/update the empty boxes on the SCORE BOARD. Don't forget: We are going for Supper(wine-and-dine) at Kingsways, Glen Waverley, after our session. May more ideas be suggested @SUPPERTIME. Our Wednesday CATS & Social Session was also excellent on 13-Sep-2006. Unfortunately, Fuji is visiting Adelaide this weekend and he could not play or have wine-and-dine with us for this session. Cheers... chris@ccc
Hi Lily, 24-29 April 2007 is the date for world senior. Players will be nominated by affliated associations to IBf i.e i believe by the rigorous process of gathering ranking points from tournaments. If you are back for holidays , drop in , you will be amazed. HKHung - Easy mate - Chen is there for media exposure only .

Jo3ker, now i know who you are! He did play a game, reason why i remember that cos i was "replaced" by someone in that game. Anyway, while paying our money on entrance, did anyone see how red Llewellyn's eyes were? He said that he only had 4 hours of sleep. Despite that, his smash was still pretty good though. Once again, the waitress from ocean king had avoided us on friday. Maybe she got more work somewhere. You never know, we might bump into her in another restaurant. So, we must call on all CCC member to look for this woman. As a true star wars fan, i would have to say - "she has miss us for the last time!"
Only 16 participated in our CCC Handicapped Comp on Fri 15-Sep-2006 Hi hkhung, You really have to read better/slower. I reported that Llewellyn (and also Jack-Y) did not take part in our CCC Handicapped Competition. I did not say that Jack-Y and Llewellyn did not have a hit or a game. That game wasn't a part of our CCC Handicapped Comp. Cheers... chris@ccc
Hi everyone@CCC! All keeping the shuttles flying high??? To yschin: 24-29 April 2007? - I won't be able to go back for holiday - in fact, I will be having my placement = no holiday but work! :crying: To Chris@CCC: Got the "paper cut" at placement this week - to be precise - it was a "foil" cut. It happened when I was preparing a dosett, as I was pushing the tablets out from the blister pack, my index finger got cut quite deep. It's recovering though! To hkhung: Sorry that you felt you were "replaced" by someone else during that match. It was my idea... don't blame Chiranthi... Coz when we (you&Chiranthi and Helmut&I) finished a match on court 4, I saw Llewellyn sitting at the back of the court looking bored... I thought he wanted to play but don't have a partner... so I asked if he wanted to have a hit. Of course, I didn't know he was injured. *oops* Cheers... LilyC
Players@ccc are not having enough sleep Hi everyone@ccc, Players@ccc are not having enough sleep (1) hkhung said that Llewellyn had just 4 hours sleep. (2) LisaC said she did not sleep for 48 hours when she came to play. This is too much. (3) LilyC said exams are coming again, so she will be getting less sleep. (4) Usually when one has not enough sleep, one sees double vision. So, when playing a Game of Doubles, you will see 2 shuttles coming at you. And you playing against 4 players on the other side of the net. To LilyC: (1) Llewellyn was not injured. He was just tired because of lack of sleep. (2) Jack-Y was the one injured. Thank you for translating his Chinese message to me. (3) I did not know the cut on your finger was that deep. Please take care. To everyone@ccc (especially to new members/visitors): You don't have to participate in our CCC Handicapped Competition if you don't want to. As you know, we call our session "CCC Social Friday" not "CCC Competition Friday". (1) It was good of LilyC to invite Llewellyn to play a social game with her, Helmut and Chiranthi last session. (2) Fuji and DoublesPlease often split partners with their opponents for social games. (3) In the session before last, Mei, Fony, LisaC and LilyC had social game of Ladies Doubles, which should be encouraged to be played more often. (4) Last session, I partnered LisaC and later I partnered DoublePlease to have 2 social games. So for those people who think that our CCC Social Friday is only for the Handicapped Competition, please be corrected. Cheers... chris@ccc
To Chris: Guess i better think/look careful next time. Then again, old habits die hard .... You might have to hit me on the head with this one again. When people decide to play friendly, what should i do on the board? I think Chirnathi is in the list as well cos she said she was worried about the result of her exam so she got no sleep on thursday nite. Hope that she is reading this forum so she can answer this one herself. To LilyC: I am cool, i need a break anyway else i might get high blood pressure with all the yellings and screamming of my mis timed shot. Anyway, you are familiar with those sounds/faces that i pull for my bad shots by now. Are you sure you should be playing badminton with your cut finger? I cut it badly once on friday CCC (on my left hand though) and had to stop for a few days. When i came back, Chris was laughing at me saying he thought that was no big deal. Sounds like the same effect as a drunk person?! Anyone familiar with the movie called "drunken master" by Jacky Chan?

Baddy Supplies in Brissy Hey Chris/Andrew, Unfortunately I don't know of any shops in Brissy that carry a good range of baddy equipment like here, as unlike Melb its a real small sport. The sports shops like AMart carry afew rackets - The main seller is Brisbane Badminton Assn, who carries a full supply of products and brands at their club nights mostly Sunnybank area on the southside of Bris. Their website is www.brisbanebadminton.org. enjoy the trip!
Hi all, while we are in this topic, does anyone know anywhere to buy Yonex badminton stuff in Melb at reasonable price except xinsports? Cheers, Andrew
