Suggest that at least 2 tables (10 per table) should be organised

    .
We had 8 of us at Suppertime after our session last night, Friday 1-Feb-2008. There Adeline-T and Simon-P said they would be attending our CNY 2008 Dinner. Patrick_K said he could be coming late, say 9:00pm. William-W said his friends could be coming too.

I would suggest that at least 2 tables (10 per table) should be organised.

Thank you btchia for organising our CCC CNY 2008 Dinner

    .
Yes, I had an enjoyable time at our CCC Chinese New Year 2008 Dinner just hours ago. Sang many songs, danced many dances and the Dine and Wine was excellent.

Thank you btchia for organising the event. :):):)

And thank you those many who attended.

The children enjoyed themselves dancing. And Lesley_F, although she didn't sing, took the dance floor with her neat cha-cha-cha (footwork) dance. :):):)

And our Sleepie_angel sang her beautiful and heavenly Bee Gees song "Too Much Heaven".

And our hkhung sang his Chinese love songs, accompanied by Sean_F and chialinho.

We must do it again next year. :D:D:D

    the singing photos

we never got to thank Thim for his great organizing (in terms of answering question + collecting money) for the nite. so here goes .... clap clap clap

and the group photo was done after Jim left, mind you, he was in many of the photos (not in this post though)!!

    here's my dinner report
    - why didn't the karaoke happen a lot earlier. i think you send the wrong guy (namely me) to hurry them up for karaoke, Chris!
    - Lesley (u had the right dancing shoes on) and Chris (a very professional host for the nite): great dancing - some of the songs must have 99 out of 100 thanks to the dancing skill
    - william + jim: for some reason your song didn't come out. we await your singing skill for next year
    - everyone got in the act for some singing and dancing, although (dare i say it!) some more keen to do so
    - have you ever seen Chris in a suit? and it has not got the word "coaching" at the back!
    - another table had a birthday guy, so they got in the act for some great dancing
    - thank god this year it close at 12 rather than 10:30pm
all in all, great fun for everybody. Feel free to add some more comments (or captions for my photos).

Here's a lesson that we could all learn about organizing on my behalf:

Since Helen (notorous last minute canceller according to Richard) and Susan both cancel last minute, they were supposed to call Richard but they didn't so Richard could not come. Of all the DTBA people i have given phone no on this past week (Joe, helen, susan, charles, grace), the only one who would like to come did not ask for my phone no. i told Richard on sunday that i was the organizer so next time ask for me.

did you know that there was a DTBA bring a dish picnic 23/3 (sunday) 10am going on? shame it's on sunday.

in the next batch i will post the dancing photos!

    dancing photos would come later...

Another organisation afterthoughut (which got nothing to do with the photos):

comes to think of it, it's a shame that many are away and could not come.

Of the people that who came to the dinner, i think the friday wantirna (chrinthi, helmut, keith tan, silva, edward c, kelvin k, luke + schuze, tak) group was under represented. At least most of them knew by email or through friends and decline through chris (sorry about the PM - must make this a formality telling people to not do that to you in forum for next organisation function), so that's good.

well, i reckon we did our best. cheers.

once again, the dancing photo would be coming ....

and boy did the atmosphere ever heighten?!

anyway, thank you for including the names of the "absent from group photo". Knowing what people would ask, we might have to do a caption for all the people from the group photo later.
