To my knowledge, Japan team are going on individual or club funding rather than national teams. A lot of problems going on within NBA. Even if they had gone private they would be wearing National team jersey for a S1000 event

Is there a full video? I always wonder if the opponents and spectators already know. Given that there are 3 to 4 cameras filming this on court.

This was a segment on Japanese TV TB called Ningen Kansatsu Variety Monitoring from December. The only possibility to see the full video is with U-NEXT streaming service but it's difficult to sign up for outside of Japan. Maybe @kurako knows anyone who has a copy?
I think they most likely know they're impostors since most Japanese have dark coloured hair & not blonde. Maybe the opponents don't know their actual identity.

That was a painful watch... 
They were leading 18-15 first game.
She was going side ways, shifted weight to push with the left, and the left knee buckled. Likely ACL rupture. Sad to see. The way she was crying on the ground was more from realization that this was career ending more than from pain...

Marin also had career threatening ACL tear in January 2019 but she came back and won China Open in September 2019That was a painful watch...

Let’s hope her tendon and meniscus will be ok then her career can end as Marin only had ACL rupture, if Nami will have meniscus tear too then she can never pick up racket again

Li Xuerui also had ACL tear but she also had meniscus and tendon injury that’s why she retired early
