Much better rallies in 2nd set. Mas pair not that bad, they can match BYX/XQX throw at them. Just little misluck and maybe the stamina-wise

I dunno why I see this match though :p

What, Bao/Zhong beat Goh LY/Lim YL 21-1 in the first set?! I thought my eyes were playing tricks, never seen such a score for doubles play, thought it not possible or highly improbable in the new scoring system. And they actually came from behind 7-11 at one point in G2 to romp home 21-14, impressive performance.

Yeah, after disaster start 1-21 for MAS pair, they had momentum in second game 11-7 leading over home WD but after towel break Bao/Zhong turned the tables to grab 10 consecutive points and then unstoppable to close match with 21-14.

Tend to agree with you. Cai/Fu, Lin Dan, Zhao Yunlei (except Zhang Nan who is being tried out in a new MD partnership in preparation for Cai Yun's impending retirement), and Tian Qing - all rested except LXR. I guess her standing and seniority in the CHN national team isn't high enough to earn the privilege. Besides, she's only acquired one or two major titles being young and early in her career, so status-wise not on par with her fellow gold medallists. Shouldn't let her play when she is mentally and physically unprepared which was already obvious when she lost to Lu Lan a few days ago in the CBSL.

For Sindhu, good for her, just the confidence-booster and impetus she needed to push her further; I believe she will go far but quite a few loose ends to tie up, esp after seeing how she self-destruct in G2.

GC commented that Jiang YJ for the last 12 months has retired injured on 6 occasions, what an injury-prone player, reminiscent of Simon Santoso. And, I add, quite an unfortunate player in being overshadowed and denied by her more distinguished colleagues time and time again.

Just heard GC saying Jwala Gutta is taking a sabbatical from badminbton. The Olympics is being taken too seriously by all the Olympians, positively and negatively, often marking a turning-point in some of the participants.

Sindhu should be more patient and move Jiang all over the court to tire her out, still not over yet.

It's turning into a grueling match and Jiang is visibly the more tired of the two.

Sindhu lost for her impatience and inexperience, a pity - she had Jiang on the ropes and committed two successive errors in the end.

and the youngster lost at last, the match was at her racket but the inexperience of playing in big occassions outdid her today. she really made some silly errors to give away cheap points to jiang else she would have won the decider.
