It remains to be seen how the Chinese team deem the development of these youngsters that are getting more exposure nowadays. Not sure how the covid lull does to the golden boy SYQ. Drifting further away competitively or full recuperation on path to glory?

Who is this Wu Kai-an of Fujian province, he's so good, able to push Huang Yuxiang so hard? A new young talent?

What a pity that Lin GP (once again) tasted painful defeat in three games, 19-21, same manner he lost to Gao Zhengze in previous group-stage match. His quality is still mediocre but understandable for a player who didn't compete any international tournament since April 2016. Lin GP can't execute well at crucial stages, but skillwise it's not bad at all.

Then we'll see how their performance in BWF tournaments to gauge their level of play.
Shi Yuqi? A big question that he's struggling a lot to regain pre-injury form.

Finally Lin Guipu wins a match, against Gu Jun Feng. Are Gu and Gao Zhengze in China's backup squad?

I think it's only to be expected and natural that Lin Guipu who unfortunately suffered some debilitating injury (twice , if I'm not wrong) so early in his young career when he was barely out of the junior circuit to inevitably face an uphill struggle in his comeback attempt as he has to overcome not only problems caused by the long, problematic injury layoff but also lack of experience owing to his youth at that time. In other words, it was a double whammy for him then. At least, he gets to finish his university studies during the hiatus.

However, after watching his recent matches, the ones in the CBSL and now his match against Lei Lanxi (haven't watch his encounter with Gu Junfeng yet), it's my opinion he is improving. Though he lost badly to LLX , whom I believe has potential, I thought that was good fighting badminton, fast and furious, from the get-go with both players somewhat eager to attack and counter-attack throughout the entire fast-paced match. The score10-21 in G3 was reflective of LGP simply losing steam whilst LLX superior stamina was obvious.

With hard work, determination and talent, he might just made it eventually, hopefully.

Wang Zheng Xing ( 18 yr old) clinched the title for Hunan by beating HuangYX 2-1. What an exciting match. Never seen HYX playing so hard before. Was watching the match on the Juahfan Cantonese channel. Luckily there was no buffering. Someone commented on screen that Wang should be drafted into the national team.

Yup, in the Men's Team final , Hunan beat Zhejiang 3-2, a bit unexpected for me based on the match outcomes as follows:-
    https://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2020-11-02/doc-iiznezxr9497290.shtml

First, Lin Guipu disappoints then , even worse, Huang Yuxiang, an even bigger upset in the crucial 5th tiebreaker.

Edit; Allow me to revise my view a little and add, I really shouldn't have jumped to conclusions without watching the two matches won by Liu Liang and Wang Zhengxing fully, which after doing so, I'm forced to concede that they both deserve credit for their spirited albeit unexpected underdog victories over their respective opponents.

I'd just sum up by saying that these two youngsters might , though the possibility seems remote at the moment, make waves in the international circuit one day in the near future, especially the 18-year-old Wang Zhengxing whom I'm more impressed with, a bit more than the 17-year old Liu Liang.
