last year aviva open china team and other nationals went to SbA to 'warm up' with some of the national players in singapore. an ex national told me he stroke with lin dan half a court, before, he was doing 93 situps a minute. they were counting. kinda shocked right? i can only do 50 the best and 93 is like twice the speed faster. plus, lin dan dont use both hands to support the ears, instead he does put 2 fingers to his forehead while doing. anyway, my coach knew lin dan. they were from the same place, fujian.
you can estimate the around the time. its quite normal because they do few hundreds a day. push ups also. its not surprising. China is so strong because they train very hard since young. at the age of primary school kids, my coach said they did around 300 over push ups-standard ones and he said it was nothing. i think if singapore were to let their kids do that, it would be considered as child abuse. haha. but the parents in china believe in that way, they let the coaches deal with the kids and china players dont get to return home for many years.
Its not the quantity I am amazed about. Its the speed. I wouldn't mind letting my children go through those training as long as they train their brain just as hard.
almost every sec do 2 sit ups to reach 80 and above. haha children in singapore cannot take it. can you bear to not see your child for 10 years? its impossible to do this in singapore.

Serla!!! What happened to our (this) thread? Nowadays we only grill, kill, faint and laugh our asses off... Btw, from the Chinese juniors I like Qiu Yanbo, Lu Qicheng, Xie Xin and Zhang Wei... Want to know more about them, like the Malaysian Juniors =)
