Overall, it was a good fortnight for Team INA (both Pelatnas & Independent players) as 3 titles were won....2 in XD and 1 in MS.

For Simon and AG/Vita, these victories will represent morale boosters for the upcoming World Championships. Given their seedings, I will expect Simon to reach QF and AG/Vita to also reach at least QF.

For Towi/Butet, they have proven that they have what it takes to compete at the highest level. It was so nearly two out of two...but I guess it's also good for AG/Vita to win their first title!

i think his mental is strong enough, recently i only see simon to push lin dan (as my parameter) to 3 games, while other INA MS players lost in 2 games...

Simon Santoso needs to prove that he has what it takes to beat top players like Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, Chen Jin, Peter Gade, and Taufik Hidayat. That's what he is lacking at this point.

hope is the right word, why should a low ranked GP played without the big guns change anything?

Simon & SDK forced LD into rubber games at 2009 Sudirman Cup group-stage and World Championships semifinal respectively. Last meeting between Simon vs LD is China Open SS 2009 QF (November) when Simon lost straight-sets.
Meanwhile TH always lost straight-sets to LD currently

Simon is not lack of mental strength, but if his opponent can stretch to 3 tight rubber game, with his style of playing that require alot energy, he have to give up due to his stamina can't back his game style.

no miksss ..it's chinese Zhang Jun/Gao Ling who grab the gold medal in sidney 2000 by beating trikus/minarti. the Ina shuttlers so close to win the championship by leading about 7 or more points (i forgot the exact score) in the 3rd set, but unfortunetly the younger Chn shuttlers made to catch them up and won the gold medal. so the Ina already has 2 Olympic silver medal in XD. not bad at all ;)

Hayom could not apply the right strategy against SWH yesterday but Simon did by playing fast and slow and SWH was frustrated that he could not dictate the game...

How old is Park Sung Hwan?
Shon Wan Ho is still not consistent yet, and I don't think he can give a torrid time to any of the top players except maybe LCW, who always seems to have difficulty starting against him. ;)

Good idea. If PSH is 2nd in the rankings, he will have a higher chance of winning the match. 2nd, 3rd MS plus the trusty combination of JJS/LYD and Ko/Yoo, Korea will indeed be a formidable team.
