Hi everyone, New to the forum here, but I'd like to play as well, but I don't have any partners. How can I go about registering? Anyone want to partner up?
Hi Josico, Welcome to the forum. You have 3 weeks left before the deadline thus you can look for a partner at the places you are currently playing, otherwise you can request for one. On the day of the tournament, I will randomly draw all the single players to form doubles teams. The safest bet is to register yourself first, request for a partner on the registration form, and quickly look for a partner. If you find a partner before the deadline and there are still spaces available, then you can advise me of your change in status. Re-read the first page, PM me with your info, I will respond back with the final instructions for you to complete your registration. Keep an eye on this thread as I will be regularly updating the spaces available for the tournament. Badrad has apparently done some heavy recruiting and he may have 3 or 4 teams ready to take all four flights! ... - he's got Mrs.Badrad calling in sick with the 28.705 hour flu so she can play - Little Badrad is on a high intensity training regime I think Badrad wants to take the BMS Plaque to his home turf!! :crying: :crying: :crying: Cheers!

bms can u update us with a list of participants, ifits open(women doubles vs. men doubles) wont that cause complaints..usually from the women side hehe
It is a team tournament..be it a mens doubles team, mixed team or ladies doubles team. They will all play in the same draw...and speaking as a woman, I have absolutely no problem with playing against men.
ahahah well what i meant in the above post excludes u, i would complaint if i have to play against u n ur hubby, it would be big shrimp small >.<
Yes SmashingBird...Mrs.15Love is absolutely correct! The tournament is based on doubles regardless if it was 2 men, 2 women, or a mixed doubles. Any permutations of the three groupings are possible as a match-up. Most female players who I give the invitation to are fully aware of the gender-neutral aspect of the tournament, and would have played frequently in a mixed versus 2 men setting. In fact, I have a feeling there will be 2 or 3 strong women doubles team who are going to kick some men's butt black & blue! Cheers!

In the past years, there were teams who brought in their own cheering section! ... I think some players even went as far as pulling people off the streets and paying them $20 to cheer for them in the finals! ROFLMAO Yes Nephrus, spectators are welcomed and is FREE to watch! During the event, if you want to join in on the food & snacks, please bring something to share, it is potluck! As I stated last year... "Bring something to share and you can join the potluck! But please don't bring one apple and take a whole apple pie in exchange! Take only as much as you contribute!" I know Wood_22_Chuck has 2lbs unpeeled sunflower seeds good-to-go!!! Cheers!

Usually it's for players 35 (as in the A5 "35") years and older but we gladly accept early try-outs to our exclusive club!!!
