    Hi guys,

I have recently been thinking about wearing compression tights / leggings for my games as I have heard they provide a lot of benefits. I have also had a recent calf tear which im recovering from and i think this should help that as well.

What brands / models do people recommend? I see so many online such as under Armour, skins, 2xu etc. Is there anything specific thats good for badminton and sports in general compared to ones just used for gym workouts? I have heard there are 2 types. One for sports and one for gym and weights.

Any personal recommendations or reviews would really help. Im in the UK.

    thanks

    Zahid

I have a mixture of under armour shorts and skins calf tights and would recommend Skins. Some friends wear 2xu calf tights regularly so can't be bad either. A feature of the skins calf tights I particularly liked is the section around the achilles which others do not have.

Of all the brands they are by far the most popular that I see but I don't remember ever seeing anybody wearing full tights, only calf or shorts. What I can say for certain is that I have not had any injuries whilst wearing the calf tights. The shorts can be too restrictive/tight and I feel better without them.

Skins essentials just like these - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Skins-ES00040879-Essentials-Calftights/dp/B01N0HL28A/ref=cts_ap_1_vtp
Gradual compression, less compression on the achilles.

I see the skins uk site is currently borked so can't link to it.

I should also mention that the skins are made from microfibre material but some others are made from a knitted material. There may be a difference but I avoided the knitted ones because of how much they remind me of flight socks
