If LCW meets PG at SF or better still in a SS final, LCW better play smart to lose so PG can increase his points, if LYB can play, so can TSB/LCW, even playing field. Remember CHN needs 3 MS at the top 4 to qualify for OLY.

But I think their or the rest of the gangs common foe should be CJ. Stop him at all cost and CHN will only have 2 representatives.
well, it will be hard. since CJ is relatively high ranked he will need to have LCW or PG take him out himself. with his recent performance, we can pretty much count TH to drop below CJ very soon. so the only threat for CJ is PG. we really should be discussing this in the Olympics thread instead of in the LCW thread.
but wait. are we advocating match fixing here? or just an eye for an eye? either one, doesn't sound very good.
told them so, but haven't even listened to? http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/99303-The-routes-to-London-2012/page3 post #45
to be honest though, i am not really sure what value CJ has, other than maybe if he gets to SF he can give LD some rest. the question is whether he can get to sf in the first place. perfect scenario for China would be CL draw in the same 1/2 as LCW, and then LD in the same half as CJ. so there is a chance that CL can beat LCW if not just tire him out. the worse is if CJ is drawn against LCW, then CL vs. LD will be wasting CL.
it is hard to target PG as despite his pre-historic age he is still a pretty solid SF material, while CJ is not.
that's assuming CHN has 3 qualified, a tall order. anyway,do they draw for the No3 and No4 seeds as well? or just 1 and 4, 2 and 3 in the same half?
what LYB said was target PG to get him out of the top 4 for the qualification. personally i cant see PG in the SF for the London OLY. 35 is a grand old age for badminton MS!
Not for Olympics, #3 is in the top half with #1, and #4 is in the bottom half with #2. http://bwfbadminton.org/file_download.aspx?id=22472
that's right. For single: Singles: 3.3.3.1. The seeded players shall be placed at top of each group as follows: a) No. 1 placed at the top of Group A b) No. 2 placed at the top of Group P c) No. 3 and 4 drawn by lot at the top of Groups E and L. d) No. 5 to 8 drawn by lot at the top of Group C, G, J and N. e) No. 9 to 16 drawn by lot at the top of the remaining groups For doubles: Doubles: 3.3.3.3. The seeded players shall be placed at top of each group as follows: a) No. 1 placed at the top of Group A b) No. 2 placed at the top of Group D c) No. 3 and 4 drawn by lot at the top of Groups B and C
Okay, my mistake. I suppose it will be a bit harder for CHN to manipulate ranking positions unless they can take both #1 and #2 slots.
i think it is possible. below the top 4. PG can beat almost everybody. old age, true, but he is a Dane.
Now, if Juliane Schenk and Saina both perform heroically in a few more SS/SSP tournaments (semis, finals,) and if Wang Xin crashes and burns at a few, you could find just 2 Chinese girls qualifying for WS.... It's a real possibility... WX hasn't been at her best or most consistent in recent months, but she's the team sharpshooter and brawler when it comes to honour, so it's difficult to write her off! Personally, I'd love for her to be there and one of the other 2 to be out, but that's kinda wishful thinking at this stage
