Hello guys, a club mate gave me his racket to string; I was surprised to find a longitudinal cracking at the top of the racket (12 o'clock) during the initial inspection... It's the first time I have seen that. Initially I thought the previous stringer hadn't used loadspreader but the direction is weird. Any thought on it? (note: it didn't crack during stringing or initial mounting on the machine). Crack on a racket by Brunoille posted Jan 25, 2025 at 2:03 PM
Bad quality racket/manufacture defect. Had this on the outside on a model at the same position twice and never experienced/have seen it again. The model was well known for it's quality and built like a tank. My rackets got replaced. If you look at your picture, the shared holes for the top crosses, the material also looks brittle and the holes seems to splinter. If you ask me: Warranty issue, has nothing to do with stringing.
Was about to say the same, its a faulty racket, manufacturer warranty replacement should suffice if within the period. Good luck. Kindest regards, -Ajay- Quote of the Day I don't feel old. I don't feel anything till noon. That's when it's time for my nap.
You wouldn't believe how often clients beg to try it, even when I warn them. And you can't imagine their faces when they need to pay me full.
I told the guy that it may break during stringing or right after during the first tries.. As far as I know, the racket is still alive!
