What's the cut off date for qualification points?

I thought I saw one news article (which I cannot find) which mentioned the issue and it seemed quite early.

That's 3.5 months before the tournament itself.

June would be better. There's 3 five star events in June

    Qualification Dates

The IBF has designated the qualifying period for the XV World Badminton Championships as the twelve months period leading up to the May 25, 2006 IBF rankings list update.

The IBF will issue the Phase 1 invitations to the member associations on May 25, 2006. The Phase 1 invitation stage will conclude on June 8, 2006.

The IBF will issue the Phase 2 invitations to the member associations on June 12, 2006. The Phase 2 invitation stage will conclude on June 19, 2006.

The IBF will issue the Phase 3 (final) invitations to the member associations on June 26, 2006. The Phase 3 invitation stage will conclude on July 17, 2006, which is the final deadline for members to confirm entries.

I asked in the other thread but got no response. Why is this event held again this year? Isn't it suppose to be a every two years event ?

The World Championships will now be held annually instead of once every two years.
