When I kept my eyes on SYQ I saw him playing very well. Alex just had a good day with his legs and overall
im insterested on how will lanier be able to play after a big week like this. He is not used to this yet, so even if he deserves this final, that another thing to do it in multiple tournements consecutive.
i think ctc is hurt. he's not smashing anymore. something must've happened in the first game when he had 17-10 lead. i can't believe steen &/or gil haven't picked up on it. no smash until 6-9 down in game 2, which was a fast cut and not an all out smash. edit add: hmmm.. finally smashing again @ 11-11. good to know he's not hurt.
going south out of nowhere since that 10 points in a row comeback from lanier. but i didnt expect a close 2nd game but you can see at 21-20 chou is breathing heavily into the next serve while lanier is still relatively relaxed.. theyre almost 15 years apart it shows. nevertheless all credit to lanier!! the road to the title cant get anymore difficult than it already is from R32 to F
Wao alex lanier, 19 years old, getting a ss 750 champion, beating lzj, ctc, kenta and syq en route. With the timing right after Olympics ended, it may be the best time for a raising star!
New era for WD! Liu/Tan is going to reign Lee Soo Hee is quite old 30 years now, Baek Ha Na maybe paired up with Kong Hee Young since Kim So Yeong is also over 30. Or maybe with Jeong Na-eun
Baek Ha Na more of the front court player, so will be paired with Kong Hee Yong though both also not consistent. Jeong Na Eun need to be paired with a player that plays at the back..doesn't seem to have much choices in Korean WD now..height wise
Alex is super strong for his age. Very high quality netshots too, and he's not afraid to play a netshots right after a tight one from his opponent. Great potential.
