DANISA Denmark Open I 2020 (World Tour Super 750)

I notice new equipment that installed to avoid more contacts between service judge and players, Shuttlecocks Dispenser.
i suggested that about 35 years ago to cut down on the stalling.

my original suggestion was shuttle-kids —think ballkids in tennis. shuttle hits the floor, kid runs out to pick it up, 25 second clock starts, hands it to player. player is free to towel off, change racket, or whatever (no drinking) in the 25 seconds. it's not as ludicrous as you might think. tennis does it now.

the avg. gap between points —end of point to next service contact— is currently 25 seconds across all 5 events.

Haha, sometimes I think it's a necessary "cheat" for players when they need to take a little rest. ^-^

"the circumstantial pair". In my nation, people call them like this (a troll call (make fun) in compared with "perfect couple"). I know that "the circumstantial pair" is a wrong translation. Does anyone know how to describe it in exactly words ?

(that ... they are not a couple/pair and don't "like" each other maybe, but they've come together just because of the circumstance. For example, we have 10 women and 10 men in a room, all man will ask all women to dance, 1 man and 1 woman will be a pair. As 9 men pairing up to 9 women, we just have 1 man and 1 women left. So that they have to come together in spite of however they feel)

So what can we call "this pair"

Slightly less than convincing win for Okuhara, at least as far as G2 was concerned. She uncharacteristically opted not to even try to retrieve a number of shots. Is it possible that her cross-court coverage has deteriorated?

Energy conservation?

Sorry if this is already mentioned, but where can we watch live from the UK?

(BWF YouTube doesn't seem to have live streaming?)

Yeah I feel that her rear forehand corner was also weak. She doesn't seem as quick as last time.

Dear All
Unfreezing the World ranking is not going to be easy. Not everyone will be pleased. Compromises will be made.
What will happen when the ranking is operational again?

Anyone knows if there would be some stream available somewhere at all for 2nd session today? Seems like bwf std YouTube only covers first half today/yesterday ???

Players who dared to travel and play must be rewarded their deserved ranking, those who didn't travel made a conscious tradeoff of not risking health.
1. Update rankings based on Denmark open performance for those players who participated and treat the other players who didn't attend as done for in normal circumstances.

Nope, not easy at all.

Of course it could be forced to be academically simple e.g. everything unfrozen and if you don't play then tough, you might lose your position!

Or the tournaments are (temporarily) only played for money/prestige.

Or the points gained now only take effect AFTER the Olympics/next season? (so you can 'bank' points now for future use)
