It is not about gan jiong....LCW is WR1, co-fav to win, the main player who supposedly can make LD sweat, the main draw card, if this is a movie then Dato would be the star attraction (but if it is really a movie and not a baddy game, I dunno who will pay to see:D:p) he himself said in the star that he is sick of hearing LD name and he wanna win this AE...check the newspaper in MAS, when talking about AE badminton, why the Star doesn't focus on CWF, etc...cos nobody will pay to read about them...it is all about the great Dato who has the best chance of winning AE;)

If the world revolves around the sun, then BC revolves around LCW..

..here's the "funny" translation, as requested:
皇帝不急太监急 = Emperor not the anxious, court eunuch is anxious

Imagine BC life without datuk LCW...this forum will be (nearly) dead..

Datuk LCW gets a priority in BC because the BC member w/the most postings is also his no.1 fan (yes, i'm sure you all know who he is)..

I think you have to differentiate between 'doesn't want him to win' and 'doesn't think he can win'. MAS fans, both 'boleh' and 'tidak boleh' included:D, I am sure want MAS to do well and win, me included. But when there is a LD playing in the same tournament, the betting $$$ sway towards LD. Even PG knowledge LD as the best player, not only in CHN but may be in the history of this game. So when you have the WR1 player playing against the best player in history, who do you bet (with $$$, not cheap talk) to win?:D:p;)

    so talking about bettings? ;)

if u were to ask me who should i bet with $$$ if wr1 player playing against best player in history, here are my reasons (not everyone will think the same with me);)

I will bet the wr1 player of course.

    The reason:
his opponent is the best player in history and the Olympic Champion. WC,AE champion.. a bunch of majors in his cabinet. No one logically would not bet this fella. The bookies are smart. IF there are many ppls out there who bet this man, based on their statistics there..(they will know how many ppl bet the wr1 player and the best player in history) of course they do not wanna lose 'more' money. Of course if the best player in history got more people's trust, then automatically the boat(statistics) on him would be heavier.;) therefore , the wr1 player will win. This formula applies the other way round too. If more ppl put their money on the wr1 player, automatically the winner will be the best player in history;) the conclusion is: the bookies are smart:D (note: i'm not bookie by the way):p
    That's just my opinion.

But then there are different kind of bettings involved in badminton, not just winning the match, sometimes they will bet the scoreline.. so on and so forth;)

First of all, I don't bet, period. I invest. If betting can get rich, who bother going to work and casinos should be bankrupt instead of getting bigger and bigger. I use 'bet' to emphasize a point that betting with cheap talk is different that betting with $$$, cos' no one in their right mind would want to lose $$$.;)
If I read correctly what you posted, you are alluding that bookies could fix the outcome of the match. In soccer, you are correct and I agree with you, that betting in KL is huge business. In badminton, I am not too sure about that. BTW, my dl has complete and goodnight:)

Someone was saying LCW's footwork, defence weak and slow.
LCW won in 2 sets vs SDK.Yesterday probably he was toying with his opponent to get a good warmup and acclimatise to the weather in preparation for SDK and most probably Chen Long next.Next game is not gona be easy, in fact its going to be even tougher then beating SDK as Chen Long is in good form now and CHN needs him to give LCW a good fight so that LD can analyze and exploit any weaknesses in his game.Tomorrow's game will be turning point. If he wins, everyone will get to see delicious final between LCW and LD.Facing TH or PG should be more predictable for LCW as he knows their game very well.My main concern is if Simon Santoso reaches the semifinal, that's where it could get tricky.

    With a 21-17; 21-14 scoreline too
You were just 3 points short.

Tomorrow he faces either Chen Long or Shon Wan Ho, and I guess it will be Chen Long.
