Gade is having an easy game against Wojciekiewicz...

Korean qualifier Jang Yong Soo took the first set 15-4 against Agus Hariyanto!!!

    Anyone knows who he is???

Jang Yong Soo - never heard of him. tried looking for the name in the USOpen draw, but he didn't play there.

with many promising MS players, the Korean camp will surely be a threat to the rest of the badminton powers in a few years' time, and certainly in time for Olympics 2008...

Hafiz - chance for him to tell the world that the AE champ wasn't a fluke. let's hope that he is in form.

Lin Dan - Chinese has 5 MS players fighting for 3 spots in the Olympics. likely ChenHong + XiaXZ will be selected. the remaining spot will be between Lin, Bao, and Chen Rui.....

Gade won :D...his the best. Hope he can make his final comeback in his homecountry.

But Lee Tseung has also proven that he is in topform..im looking forward to this match. I'll vote for Gade with 60% and Tseung with a 40% chance of winning..what is your opinion..by the way, cool forum Kwun..It's great!

Morten, glad you can make it here.

Lin Dan took first set 15-11

Jang & Agus are playing a close game, Jang leading 12-11 right now.

Wang/Zhang is leading 13-7 vs. Jonas/Rikke. Jonas, fight!

I must say that the Denmark Open scoreboard is really very impressive with the score and time et al. I think it's even better than the one at Birmingham. There's a sense that something IS happening.

    Hafiz downed? *shrug*

Any now Roslin is having trouble against Yohan Wiratama.

    I am, again, not suprised.

    Next Round
    ========

Chen Hong vs Niels Christian Kaldau

Wong Choon Hann vs Taufik Hidayat

Lee Tsuen Seng vs Peter Gade Christensen

Jang Yong Soo vs Lin Dan

I believe jang yong soo is jr player who played the mens singles world jr team finals against Lin Dan. I saw him play against Fung permadi in taiwan and fung had so much more control over the game than Jang. He is still young, probably around 20.

    Xia lost

Park sent Xia packing and seems like Koreans have better winning record against Chinese MS than any other nations.

Roslin won, must have beaten Yohan using the psychological battle.

Lee CW beat Ng Wei, good win for Lee. Ng Wei playing strongly recently.

All in all, a bad day for HK's singles players:(

According to his information sheet on worldbadminton.net, he was born in 1982 so he's a 21 year old player...

    Danish quarter finals

    Tonight we'll see interesting matches.
    Let's predict the quarter finals.

    ---

    Men's singles:

Chen Hong - Taufik Hidayat (or Wong CH?)
Lee TS (or Peter Gade?) - Lin Dan.
Shon Seung Mo - Park Tae Sang
Peter Rasmussen - Lee Chong Wei

    ----

Ladies singles seems much easier to predict:

    Zhang Ning - Xie Xingfang
    Zhou Mi - Mia Audina
    Camilla Martin - Wang Chen
Pi Hong Yan - Gong Ruina

    lee vs. gade

It will be a very interesting match, badmad.

Lee Tsuen Seng seems to be coming back in form but in worldbadminton.net article we read that he says he is not yet 100%. We'll see if it is enough to deal with Peter Gade in front of a home crowd.

And Smartcivet, what you think of the Koreans, Shon & Park, that they are too tired after Dutch Open?
