    Well done Juliane . . . you are really a fighter. She can smash from almost any overhead position, and her jumping smash, very few ladies are doing it. Congrats to progress to Final.

    Wow that was surprising for me. Well done!

    By the way will Schenk be the world #2 next week? I've had a quick look and I think she will be.

    Last time I saw these two mixed pairs play each other it was a fantastic three settter, this is a semifinal and not a final so hopefully there's no team tactics.

    edit: it was the victor 2013 final I'm remembering, there seemed to be a bit of needle between the two ladies, it'll be interesting to see what happens here.

    Go, Juli! Honestly, I almost shed a tear at the conclusion of that match. Now that we know all the troubles that she's been facing lately, it must have taken tremendous fighting spirit to come back from that bizarre first game. She looked so emotional at the end, you just know how much this means to her, that I got a bit choked up too.

    She'll probably meet LXR in the final tomorrow, and I really do hope she wins. Two Germans in the final of a Super Series Premier event - fantastic!

    Wrt the XD Finals, Head to Head against JFN/CP:

    ZN/ZYL have 6 - 6, won their last two matches (in 2013) in straight, last victory was just in recent 2013 Sudirman Cup semi finals;

    while XC/MJ have 4 - 3, also won their last two encounters in straight (but in 2012 & 2011)

    so both CHN pairs have positive records against JFN/CP but my very guess CHN will stage ZN/ZYL in final.

    Well, CHN just has the luxury (obviously to the envy of the many others) to make the final choice based on the pair's better form at present

    so who will eventually be staged to carry on the flag? :confused:

    I quite like the blue and white team strip, first time I've seen it.

    But I prefer the yellow/black. The shirt on the blue/white look horrible.

    As per standard practice, the winner of the 1st game will proceed to the final. So DEN will meet ZZ.
