Interesting draws in MD. Two new Pelatnas pairs: Mohd Ulinnuha/Ricky Karanda Suwardi vs Chan Peng Soon/Tan Wee Kiong and Rahmat Adianto/Berry Angriawan vs Shen Ye/Hong Wei. Another 2 new pairs: Agripinna Prima Rahmanto Putra/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Andrei Adistia/Christopher Rusdianto have to crawl through the Qualifying Draws. Similarly, in XD, Riky Widianto/Shendy Puspa Irawati have to win 2 matches to reach the Main Draw.

It will be hard for INA players to win any title in Bangkok since they are mostly made up of Pelatnas's 2nd Team and Independent players. CHN and KOR are also sending most of their 1st Team players.

Indeed, tough challenge for INA players.
Some interesting WS first round match here -- Saina vs Lu Lan, Sung Ji-hyun vs Wang Lin, Ratchanok vs Cheng Shao Chieh.

Great to see Axelsen. Let´s see how long it takes until he hits the headlines of senior tourneys.

I like the draw....KOR and CHN, as well as INA start with many of their top players!!

Firda withdraw? I think she is too fatigue after playing in SC?

Chooi Kah Ming underwent surgery due to knee injury, no surprise he pulled out from this tourney.

Chan Peng Soon said that he has a back injury after playing his matches in the Sudirman Cup, so I assume he is resting, then preparing for the world championships.
