Badminton Asia has released M/Q report through its website -- www.badmintonasia.org -As reported earlier, INA will be represented by Kido/Setiawan and Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa. -Park Sung Hwan is still absent from internatinal tourney, KOR MS will depend on their youngsters such as Hong Ji Hoon, Shon Wan Ho, Park Wan Ho, etc. -CHN will bring full team in WS, named Lu Lan-Xie Xingfang-Wang Lin-Zhu Lin-Wang Yihan, defending champion Jiang Yanjiao and Zhu Jingjing.
I think pia was quite good playing MX when she was still junior,She won indonesia junior 2205 with her brother, bona septano rite???
The experimentation of KOR MD continues in the BAC. Ko Sung Hyun/Yoo Yeon Seong, Cho Gun Woo/Kim Ki Jung and Kwon Yi Goo/Chung Eui Seok.
After 2 titles in the India Open GP Gold 2009 (but both from the non-Pelatnas players), INA will rely on Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan to deliver a title in Suwon. The INA pair will be the top-seed and they are using this opportunity as a warm-up tourney for the Sudirman Cup considering they have been absent for almost 3 mths with Kido's injury. The main threat will come from Lee Yong Dae/Shin Baek Cheol, Fang Chieh-Min/Lee Sheng-Mu and the two pairs from Japan: Shuichi Sakamoto/Shintaro Ikeda and Kenichi Hayakawa/Kenta Kazuno. The mix-n-match KOR pairs and young MAS pairs could also pose some challenge. As for Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa, I hope they will be seeded 4th. The likely challenge for them will come from the Olympics Champions Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung, Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam, Songphon Anugritayawon/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul, and Ko Sung Hun/Ha Jung Eun. I hope Flandy/Vita avoid the top-seed (Lee/Lee) until the Final.
Great! I also really hope INA sweep the titles in Korea so that Korea can be awaken one more time for world badminton. In MD, I expect MAS will add another one from one of the top teams; the uncles looked quite good in India.
From the Star today's edition: “This is the last tournament for us to impress the selectors because we are not going for the ABC (Asian Badminton Championships in Suwon from April 7-12). We have done our part (by winning the India Open) and now it is up to the selectors to decide whether to select us for the world meet."
the draw will be make on 31st march 2009... Btw,, are you sure Zhu jing jing will participate in this asian championship??? i see her name in M/Q list but i'm not sure since she pull out from india open... can you contact her???
Zhu Jing Jing may take part but few of chinese players will withdraw...it does not make sense for CHN to send full WS....with 2 or 3 WS, they can take title...Zhu Jing Jing is the qualification list now...
haha, who do you think I am? how come I can contact her? few will withdraw?? who are them?? I think Wang Yihan is not withdrawn
I do not know which one though...I heard that BCL may not play...we all know he is still having his knees injured so I do not see why he should go there...I do not know when he is going to have surgery..if he does...he may be out of badminton at least for 3 to 6 months...
